In the obstacle course of life, I'm the guy who carefully plans out his path, discards the plan midway through, runs through a wall and then trips over the resultant debris.

It's a weird comparison, but given my love for the occasional obtuse metaphor it captures me perfectly. Plus what's life without a few missteps?

I'm straightforward and easy to understand but complex nonetheless. I wear my heart on my sleeve and don't have interest in games. My goal is to find someone who can appreciate that.

I type words into a computer and magic happens. Seriously it's magic, don't question it. Magic takes time though, many hours a day.

When I'm not working, I tend to split my time between the physical and the intellectual. Whether it's calmly reading a book before running off into the sunset, or sparring an opponent in kendo before sitting down for a marathon writing session, there's nothing quite like taxing your mind and body to their limits.

Plus you get a great story after about how you almost broke yourself running down a mountain.

Not taking life too seriously.

There are a random skills along the way too. If you're gonna be prepared for the zombie apocalypse, you better be able to cook and fight.

Books: Song of Ice and Fire, Dresden Files

Movies: Pixar movies of course. Also I'll watch anything by Christopher Nolan and Zack Snyder.

Shows: The Daily Show, Colbert Report, Archer, and Arrested Development

Music: Right now, my favorite song is Footloose. I have no idea why.

Food: The humble burrito. Or Japanese curry.
