My Self-Summary
Where do I start? I think I have a pretty good sense of humor. I "get" sarcasm. I am often amused by random things that most people don't even notice.
I like to eat out. I also like to eat in. You might say I'm a foodie. I've been known to stay up very late watching the food porn on Food Network.
I like to cook, and I think I'm pretty good at it. Do you have a good recipe for scones? Mine always come out too dry!
I like beer and coffee. Some people might say I'm a beverage snob, but I don't think so! I mean, I can enjoy a Budweiser and a slice of pizza, and I can also appreciate the spicy sweetness of a Chimay. I like to think I'm versatile!
I like tattoos and piercings, but I don't have any.
I don't have a word for my style. I like to wear black. I have a healthy appreciation of goth, punk, emo and rockabilly styles, but none of them really quite fit me! Likewise, I own and wear plenty of stuff that's not black. I wear whatever I want to! Gosh!
I consider myself to be very open-minded. I think everything in life is about balance. Balance includes taking risks as well as taking the safe route sometimes.
I'm shy at first, but I think I'm one of the best friends you can have once you get to know me.
I speak up when I feel like I have something really good to say. I believe I am an attentive listener.
I have eclectic tastes. I'm very interested in vintage scooters, mopeds and motorcycles. Especially from before 1950. I fix scooters at a shop downtown, when I'm not making signs.
I'm also somewhat interested in art, but it takes something really striking to grab my attention. When I see a piece of art I like, I really get into it. I work part time at a sign shop as a graphic artist. I've been self-employed for four years, too.
I like hiking and camping. Camping to me happens in a tent or out under the stars. Sleeping in an RV or a trailer can be fun, but it doesn't count as camping! I would probably like rockclimbing too, but I've never tried it.
I have been out riding dirt bikes and quads and had a lot of fun with that. I would love to go again.
I reduce, reuse and recycle. It might not really save the planet, but it's really easy to do, so why argue? It's like good personal hygiene; you don't *have* to do it to survive, but it's pretty unattractive if you don't.
I'm a crappy snowboarder, but I love it! Even smashing my tailbone on the packed powder is fun somehow.
I have an old beat-up Schwinn that I like to ride. I used to have a nice mountain bike too, until someone borrowed it, wrecked it, and never paid me back for it. Some day I'll get another one.
Intelligence turns me on.
I firmly believe in the Golden Rule.
I don't see a problem with recreational drugs if they're used responsibly. Personally, I might smoke a little weed once or twice a year, and that's about it. It's not as much fun if it becomes routine. Remember what I said about balance?
I appreciate good spelling and grammar.
I should also let you know up front that I'm divorced, and I have kids that live with me half of the time. They're amazing, smart, and creative little girls that will always have my heart.
Finally, I think that if a relationship is meant to be long term, then it will happen naturally. You can't force it! I'm not specifically looking for any certain type of relationship. I'm searching for anyone whose company I enjoy. Where it goes from there is up to fate, chemistry, etc.!
That said, I'm interested in meeting anyone that wants a friend, companion, lover, or partner-in-crime. Anyone that's looking for a great person to party with, cuddle with, or share things with. Anyone that's bored and wants someone to hang out with. Anyone that's looking for someone to be smart with or act like an idiot with!
What I’m doing with my life
Besides that, I'm just giving my beautiful daughters the best life I can.
I’m really good at
I'm a natural born tinkerer, I guess.!
The first things people usually notice about me
My incredible eyes that are like staring into an alternate dimension?
My ass?
I honestly don't know what people notice about me first! Why don't you meet me and answer this for me?
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
I like watching How Its Made, Family Guy, The Colbert Report, Survivorman and a few other shows, but I don't own a TV. MST3K is also a total classic. I'm kind of re-discovering it now because I could never stay up late enough to watch it when it was on! I grew up watching Doctor Who and Monty Python's Flying Circus, because the only station we got at my house was KTEH 54, which is an awesome public station in the Bay Area.
I really like David Lynch films. Harold and Kumar, Rushmore, Brazil, Superbad, Kung Fu Hustle, 40-Year-Old Virgin, Almost any James Bond 007 movie, The Pursuit of Happyness, lots more that I can't remember right now.
Everyone likes a good pizza, right?
Beer and coffee, as I mentioned before. Thai, Sushi, Greek, Homemade BBQ, A really good fresh green salad with a little oil and vinegar, Mexican mmmm. A really good PB&J and a glass of milk rocks, too. Oreos (or Newton-O's) and black coffee.
Food is life, right? Life would suck if I didn't enjoy eating!
The six things I could never do without
I don't know, I hate these lists of things I couldn't do without, because they all sound shallow. "I just CAAN'T LIVE without my Blackberry!! Glaughghaghghllglh!!"
Then again, who's to say I'm really all that deep?
If you want me to list my six favorite possessions, then just say so!
