I currently have a pretty normal office job, but in the past I’ve been a residential supervisor at a school for rich ne’er-do-wells, and sportswriter with an expertise in horse racing.
On the weekends, I might drive down to Moss Beach and splash around in the tidepools, or ride my motorcycle up to Bolinas, or babysit my friend’s 8 year old daughter. Sometimes I stay home and read. Sometimes I volunteer. Sometimes I shop at odd food stores and then go home to figure out what to make with it all.
Making chocolate souffle.
Hand sewing. Not that I do it often, and yes, I was very surprised.
Growing jade plants. Orchids, well, sometimes I return them from the brink to flowering health. Sometimes I was the one who sent them to the brink. Sometimes I can't bring them back.
