My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I can go from Wrigley Field (or Miller Park) to Ravinia in a single bound. A great day consists of sunshine, a few hours of creative work, and substantive communication with a significant other. Sorry, but like most guys I am visually enticed. No pictures, no reply. Ask me about EMV's.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Still learning, still yearning, still working. I prefer the intimacy of small groups, the lost art of conversation, good old board games, Wii, and community theatre versus Broadway. SHARING, bicycling, walking in my nature preserve, sailing, golf, scuba, community service, and the occasional European vacation are my passions.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
...talking (always trying to listen better), grilling, caring, and helping the less fortunate.. I am not self-effacive, so my best answer is that mediocrity and lethargy not part of the plan. I am the best in my field, but have accumulated enough to contemplate "How much is enough?" and "Less is more".
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Why aren't you bald or grey? Answer: males in my Father's family all died with a full head of hair, but they died young.

You remind me of somebody I don't remember

You look like a younger Robert Wagner. Yea, and you ain't no Natalie Wood.

Are your eyes really blue, or do have tinted contacts? No corrective vision yet.

My reading is primairly non-fiction...kind of a do-it-yourself Graduate Degree. Steven Hawking, Kurt Vonegut, Carl Sagan, Frank Lloyd Wright, and John Irving occupy the shelves.

Casablanca is my all-time favorite movie as are most Boggies. Tracy & Hepburn are superb, and I never tire of "Somewhere in Time", "Pretty Woman", or "It's a Wonderful Life". Foreign films such as "Amalie" and "Waking Ned Devine" rank high. I watch more live performances than movies/DVD's.

Jazz, original, Beatles FOREVER! Folk and classical fill the CD players along with Steve Goodman and Michael Smith. I really miss Steve.

I enjoy simple meals (home or out) that are made with love. I eat to live, rather than the obverse.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. my kids/grandchildren/family

2. sunshine/Summer

3. nature and a large body of water

4. someone special to talk to

5. just a few special people to share life's challenges with

6. freedom of thought/choice/expression
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
...the mess that we have left for our children, grandchildren, and forthcoming generations to deal with such as the economy, global relations, the ecology, nukes, useless conflicts..., OK, I'M OFF THE SOAP BOX
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
...bored out of my mind, or working well past happy-hour.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Two failed marriages of 10+ years each. A public apology to #1, and shame on you #2!!!!
