I recently moved to Albany for work. On the plus side, I love what
I do and could not ask for a better job. Unfortunately, because I
spent almost my entire life in the Boston area before moving to
Syracuse for the last three years, I don't know any people in
Albany besides my coworkers. As you can imagine, that makes it
slightly difficult to meet people.
A little bit about myself: I grew up in a small town of 2000 people, but then went to Boston for high school, college, and grad school. I'm still very close with my family, even if I don't get to see them much outside of holidays. I'm very much down-to-earth, slightly witty, and I have a good sense of humor. I'm just as happy going out on an adventure as I am staying home and relaxing.
Some of my random habits: I get up early in the morning but still stay up late, often too engrossed by a book or movie or conversation to find my way to bed. I make funny faces quite often like I think I'm part of The Office cast. When I get really animated while speaking, I start dropping my "r"s and the Boston accent comes out (and I do say "wicked"). I have an almost irrational love of Barnes and Noble stores.
