My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Ok, computer. Here goes:

Creative, artistic, sweaty, thematic, big-picture-thinking, passionate singer/songwriter seeks unique, kind, and thoughtful beauty in sun-dresses to make love, art, marriage, and kids . . . or dogs. (Though we'd probably adopt the dogs.)

If you’re looking for a question-asker, a passionate creator, a lover of people, a faithful doubter, a-fighter-for-the-underdog, a critical-thinking, reflective, sarcastic, movie-watching, funny-voice-speaking gentleman to inspire passion and thoughtful conversation. . . hello!

Here's a little more:

I’m a boy, a son, a brother, an uncle, a godfather, and a friend. Vocationally I'm a songwriter/singer/graphic-designer/worship-leader, and I'd list creativity, expression, and loving people as the central drivers for nearly all of my ambitions. While I strive towards excellence and financial success in each of these disciplines, my bigger goals are to connect and to encourage.

As a part of an acoustic pop band, I've travelled extensively around the US, from Maine to California, from Georgia to Alaska. I know what it's like to sing to 4 disinterested people, and I also know what it's like to sing to 4,000 excited people.

Life so dependably brings both.

I’m more of an artist and a digger than a business man so if security and stability feel a little more important to you right now than inspiration and service, that’s honestly ok, I just won’t be a good match for you.

I think the unexamined life may be worth living, but it's not for me, and I don't seem to stay interested in people who aren't themselves interested in digging deep. Come what may, the ability for a person to figure out what they think and want and feel --- and then to be able to communicate that to someone else--- is of utmost importance, and I think it’s the key to both good romance and long-term personal happiness.

Spirituality, honesty, and service matter tremendously to me. I'm religious in the sense that I grew up bathed in a Christian America, though the way many of us Christians live out this religion seems so petty, and honestly, so contrary to the kind of love we say we believe in. So I'm particularly trying to learn this one Jesus-y idea: "That God is looking for mercy . . . not sacrifice." And to me that means my main goal is not to try to be so good that I get into the Country Club of Heaven, but rather to learn to be tender and kind. To myself first, then to the people around me. And who knows if a thousand small kindnesses could ultimately even affect the whole world.

So, I’m looking for a spiritual girl, preferably one interested in following Jesus, who is comfortable with mystery, with doubts, with asking hard questions . . . who is good with people and likes to encourage them and draw them out. I’m not at all interested in black-and-white-thinking or bible-thumping. Most of life and religion are far bigger mysteries than many of us are willing to admit. Let’s make that a starting point, yeah?

Though looks are ultimately only a jumping-off point into a much deeper pond, I am interested in a girl who takes care with her appearance, who enjoys smelling and looking lovely. Beauty and femininity are incredibly important to me, and I consider sun-dresses, perfume, long hair, and a little bit of dirt under your fingernails to be the good stuff. It’s not the dealbreaker stuff, but it’s the good stuff. I’m intrigued by girls who have valued and protected their sexuality as something truly special, as I have done the same. I think I'm handsome, though just like anybody I have days where my clothes don't seem to fit and my hair won't seem to go where I want it to. That is part of life and I aim to accept that about myself and my girl

I cry mostly every time I read the Chronicles of Narnia, I love astronomy and romantic comedies, and I like country swing dancing

Graphic Designing
Worship Leading

I am the singer and principal songwriting in an acoustic pop band. I have a little freelance boutique graphic design company and I work part time for a church as a music and arts intern, graphic artist, and worship leader.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Writing songs, singing, doing creative things. Seeing what drives people and what lies below the surface. Big picture thinking. Maybe not so good at details.

Did I mention the country swing dancing?

Physically, I'm tall, broad-shouldered... what people would call a "big guy." Thick and strong. Not chubby, but also not toned. I pretend that I'm a cowboy and wear boot-cut jeans and western shirts, but really I'm probably more of a city boy. Also, I have dimples when I smile. :)

Demeanor-wise, I think people notice that I'm calm, well-mannered, and funny.

As a singer, people notice that I'm passionate: I sweat, I move, I pound holes in my guitar.
