I am absorbent, and yellow, and porous.

My Self-Summary

I'm originally from the armpit of America, New Jersey. Exit 109 off the Parkway and proud of it. Did you know that 95% of foods in supermarkets today have ingredients with origins in the New Jersey Turnpike? Suck it, "California Oranges". I've never seen Springsteen or Bon Jovi live, but I once sang "Livin' on a Prayer" at karaoke and completely bungled the words.

I love kids. They're small and easy to punt large distances.

I also like to write, so if my responses are really long, sorry 'bout that.

What I’m doing with my life

I'm working in the animation industry as an animation/storyboard artist. I love what I do and I do what I love; telling stories and creating something from nothing is pretty fulfilling. In my spare time I make short films or go out to dinner with friends or play a round of Wii Tennis or go to a bar or just sit and read.

I bike, hike, do some light bouldering, lift & and run on a consistent basis. Usually at 6 am. I feel neutral about the morning slot; it's just a routine.

I’m really good at

Apparently insulting people I admire. Long story.

The first things people usually notice about me

I walk upright?

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Music: early Beck, Radiohead, Philip Glass, Low, The Cinematic Orchestra... I used to have a mixtape link up here to share, but someone on OkC who worked for the RIAA yelled at me. Welcome to Los Angeles. If you want the link, send me a message. :)

Movies: Pixar/Miyazaki/Disney are my gods. The most recent movie I saw that hit me was "Paper Heart". Charlyne Yi apparently has a monthly show at the UCB LA that I've been meaning to check out.

Books: Dave Eggers, Bill Peet, some geeky stuff. I recently read Paulo Coelho's "11 minutes", which has usurped "The Story of O" as the most awkward yet illuminating book to discuss with someone you like but barely know. Another long story.

The six things I could never do without

A sketchbook, a pen, a copy of Dave Eggers' short stories, and someone to talk to.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Where I left my keys.

On a typical Friday night I am

...hunting for funny anagrams of people's names. The funniest I could find for mine is "A Yammerers' Strongmen; Jerk"

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I have been asked by women whom I have been interested in, "Are you gay?". The answer is no. Unrelated, anyone interested in going to Miss America in Vegas come January?

You should message me if

You're up for a roadtrip to Miss America in January, you've seen my keys, or any reason at all.
