What I’m doing with my life
I work for Apple in the software engineering division. I enjoy and care about my job, but I also make time to enjoy life. I like traveling, mostly to experience food, culture, natural beauty, and strange and interesting things that are off the beaten path. In places with warm water, I also like to scuba dive (it's less cary than you think). I'm particularly into interesting food experiences of all kinds - from street food to fancypants molecular gastronomy.
I’m really good at
Cooking, writing music, making technology that is usable for normal humans, making people laugh, knowing a surprising assortment of random facts, remaining calm in the face of chaos or bullshit. I can't honestly say I'm *really* good at playing guitar but I am passable and hope that one day my playing skills can keep up with my songwriting skills at least.
The first things people usually notice about me
How obvious is it to say "eyes"? But I think it's actually true. I wish I could say something original like "my hairy palms" or "my third nipple". Not that I actually have either of those things! Just for the sake of example.

After that, people probably notice that I'm often quiet but when I say something it's usually worth hearing. Also maybe my strange insistence on wearing shirts with buttons and non-athletic shoes.
The six things I could never do without
Intelligent conversation, coffee, books (printed or e-), delicious things, new experiences, rhythm.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Everything! I probably think too much. I overthink things. I'm probably overthinking this answer right now.
