My self-summary
I smile a lot. Life is good. Especially when I'm with good people :)

I'm an American living in Germany. I now realize that there are good and bad things about anywhere you go.

My main hobby is travel. I have traveled much of the US, Europe, some of Asia, and some Central America. I'd like to keep visiting new places and meeting awesome people. I'd like to make traveling a big part of the rest of my life, and I think I can do it :)

Music - love it! I mainly listen to rock, punk, pop, indie, folk, dance, with bits of electronic, reggae, and hip-hop. I have a guitar, and I play it badly.

I know a lot of random, sometimes useless trivia, mostly collected from TV and travels.

I karaoke, eat spicy food, and give high-fives. I love driving around or exploring on foot. I couchsurf. I love sleeping. I'm still friends with a lot of people from elementary school.
What I’m doing with my life
Finished my Masters degree and now living and working in Germany. I have aspirations to run my own business and continue traveling as much as I can; let's see where things go!
I’m really good at
finding my way around new places.
The first things people usually notice about me
Whatever is happening with my hair. That I know a lot of random facts. [When I'm in Europe] that I'm from the US. That I always talk about food and/or travel.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: The Omnivore's Dilemma; the Facebook Effect; Catch-22; Die Verwandlung; and several others. And obviously, travel books and atlases!

TV Shows: How I Met Your Mother, The Big Bang Theory, The Simpsons, The Amazing Race, Community, Entourage, Weeds, Californication, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Modern Family, Real Time with Bill Maher, and Conan.

Music: Basically anything catchy or substantial. Rock, alternative, electronica, indie, punk, some hip-hop, classical, dubstep, and country; Weezer, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Muse, Die Ärzte, Stevie Wonder, The Cure, Phoenix, Taking Back Sunday, The Beatles, Journey, Mayday Parade, Beck, Arctic Monkeys, Carly Rae Jepsen, Arcade Fire, Green Day, Bloc Party, Bad Religion, Sublime, Daft Punk, Ratatat, "Dragostea Din Tei", The Gaslight Anthem, and plenty more.

Food: Anything flavorful (Indian, Ethiopian, Mexican), burgers, or whatever I haven't tried before.
The six things I could never do without
1. Family (common answer but it's true)
2. Music (wherever it's playing, especially if it matches my mood)
3. Running water, electricity, other modern-day conveniences
4. Flavorful food (Mexican, Ethiopian, Thai, etc.)
5. My camera (aka how I remember everywhere I go)
6. Having something new to experience every day.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
My purpose in life, places to travel to, what would make a good business idea, what other people's lives are like, what I need to buy from the grocery store, what the name of that song I just heard is.
On a typical Friday night I am
Re-charging, and if I can get up, then I go out.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I don't have any wisdom teeth.
You should message me if
you like piña coladas and getting caught in the rain.
