The abbreviated summary on me: Southern raised geek who loves fried food, whiskey, and driving.* After an eight year vacation in Los Angeles I've now set up shop in MD for the foreseeable future.
I am also in an open marriage. We've been together for over 7 years, the first part long distance and since then open. I think humans are awesome enough to enjoy relationships/friendships with more than one person.
*Not all of those things at the same time. I would never eat fried food in my car. All that grease on the steering wheel would cause a terrible accident.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm currently building websites and watching Sesame Street clips on Youtube. This playlist is a must
I’m really good at
at learning new skills. Because of this, I have accumulated a variety of useless and some useful things. I try to learn at least the basic operation and repair of anything I use on a daily basis. I will admit I haven't mastered any of the skills, but who really needs to juggle for more than four seconds.
The first things people usually notice about me
Probably the beard visually, but I can go from zero to nerd in
about 2 sentences.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I don't get to read much for fun anymore, but when I do, I usually read a Terry Pratchett novel, I love Commander Vimes.
I like bad movies of all sorts. I think my favorite are actions flicks and fun, campy horror movies. I have a soft spot for German expressionist films and the silent comedies. Mel Brooks and Buster Keaton would be my top 2 film makers.
Favorite shows: Cartoons (Freakazoid!, Archer, Bob's Burgers, Animaniacs, etc) , sketch comedies (That Mitchell and Webb Look tops the list), Silicon Valley, X-Files, and ST: TNG.
Right now my playlists are ranging from Electrochill to 70s disco.
I think my favorite foods would be bar foods though. I love fries, burgers, nachos; you know all the stuff that will kill you.
The six things I could never do without
In no particular order:
3. My Car
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Why there are so many ex-astronauts on this site? Is space camp
really that hard, don't you just make sure the rocket is pointing
On a typical Friday night I am
Recently I've been trying to get out and do more, but really I like to either sit at home and enjoy a nice whisky or go for a nice drive somewhere scenic.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I jump during movies and video games whenever things appear from around corners or behind. I think I can hide it well, but everyone probably notices.
You should message me if
- I made some sort of grammatical error above, I am known as the fifth horseman, of the commapocalypse.
- You would like to go grab food/beer from a bar or take candy from a baby with me. I tend to stick to the bars, since bartenders usually don't have sticky hands and faces.
- If you know a must see/visit place in the city as I've only seen a couple of Targets and a Costco so far. :)
