My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Well, I've been here for a year and a half now, so time to revise the profile text so as to avoid seeming disingenuous, I suppose. I'm not any more a Texan than when I moved here from Boston (I do like certain aspects of my life to rhyme), but I do feel like an Austinite, even if a transient one without a long term investment. I appreciate that there's at least one lovable and liveable city in the South ;) (I grew up in the dirty South, so I feel I have a license to playfully - or not - disdain it)

I love meeting native Texans, especially scruffy ones, as wells as dynamic people from all over. Thinking and existing outside of the American capitalist box is essential.

transient romantic. sporadically social introvert. conversationalist over curry.

I'm semi-nocturnal and insist this isn't a sign of immaturity. I like contemplative quietude, but there is also room for infernal noise in my life.

I like people who can swing highbrow and low. Love the abstruse and unconventional but detest the pretentious or self-important.

I am quite a peaceable person, though I do fantasize about striking a match to Hollywood. I prefer not to engage with popular culture, even ironically- for the most part, though I did get a twisted kick out of that "Toddlers and Tiaras" episode.

Cinema is a passion. No TV unless coerced.

I'm no longer traumatized by my social awkwardness. I laugh at it.

I write (profile text is NOT my forte). I view and review independent films. If I mention Violet Crown I am likely talking about the cinema, not the bar, though the bar has its charm, as well.

Transience and being outdoors; there's so much to see.

Left of left in the abject world of American politics.

I don't wish for any topic to be off limits. I'd rather be uncomfortable than oblivious.

Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
being a pedestrian in a driver's world, bad goodbyes, pretending not to be american when overseas, certain aspects of intimacy . ok,let me say that I am truly uncomfortable with talking myself up (probably one reason I don't excel at job interviews). I hope to buddha i am good at written articulation, but other than that, I'd rather let you discern...
The first things people usually notice about me

i gots some blue eyes and sum fuzz on me cheeks (which has its own feature). sincerity. mental drifting.
