I'm a 2011 graduate of Illinois State University with a degree in English Publishing Studies. I have a wide, and sometimes atypical, set of interests with a big heart that I am looking to share with someone; whether it's for one date or forever, I'm in a place in my life where meeting people is difficult but I'm ready and wanting.

I'm currently an editor with a publisher that shall remain nameless. I am also living at home right now saving money and building my credit so I can buy a nice place within the next year.

I'm really good at making people laugh! I'm no comedian, but apparently I say some funny stuff... I'm also really good at listening and talking (if you can get me going on the right subject). Fair warning, though, I'm feisty; I will tell you exactly what I'm thinking, when I'm thinking it! I don't have much of a filter.

The first thing people usually notice about me is my sense of humor (though I do tend to get nervous and shy the first couple dates).

My "favorites" are diverse. I love music, I'll listen to anything though I tend toward the mainstream pop (KISS FM and that ilk). Same goes for books, I love to read! I'll read anything from Beowulf to a smutty romance novel (but NOT 50 Shades of Grey). Some of my fav books and movies right now are the Hunger Games series, Game of Thrones, and the Twilight Saga. As for TV, I don't watch much, but I do love Big Bang Theory and How I Met Your Mother. Oh, and I have a sick obsession with Jersey Shore, sorry.

Six things I could never live without: iPhone, iPad, Sandy (my 7 year old "puppy"), my career, pasta, and my family--not necessarily in that order.

On a typical Friday night, I am shamefully putting on my PJs and hanging out... That doesn't mean I wouldn't go out though... Saturdays are just usually better :-P

The most private thing I'm willing to admit isn't really that private, just super nerdy. I love renaissance faires and have been known to dress up in garb and attend as a playtron.
