I am leisured, herbivorous, and barelegged.

My Self-Summary

I’m a movie nerd & a music nerd, I love magazines and design and good vegetarian food. I love all kinds of animals, I love old buildings, rainy weather, science fiction, and playing board games. Someday I want to become fluent in Spanish, travel everywhere, have interesting jobs, and become knowledgeable about beer. I like independentish type films & music, playing video games, going to thrift stores, book stores, & museums.

I’m a laid back person & I don’t really get angry all that often. I tend to be shy in groups of people I don’t know, and although I generally avoid big parties & clubs, it’s fun to go sometimes just to watch people and drink beer.

What I’m doing with my life

I just graduated from the University of North Texas w/ a degree in Sociology and in November I'll be moving up to Madison, Wisconsin. I am very excited to be leaving Texas, though I'd really like to make some friends in the area. I have no idea how to survive a winter with actual snow so if anyone wants to give me any tips I'm happy to hear them!

I’m really good at

Making homemade ketchup, improvising gift wrap, playing Super Smash Bros.

The first things people usually notice about me

I have great taste in bumper stickers.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books & Authors: Slaughterhouse-Five & Kurt Vonnegut, Harry Potter, Barrel Fever, Naked & David Sedaris, Interpreter of Maladies, Confederacy of Dunces, Wicked, Philip K. Dick & Raymond Carver short stories

Movies: Being John Malkovich, Lost in Translation, Kill Bill vol. 1 & 2, Bullets Over Broadway, Galaxy Quest, Clueless, The Royal Tenenbaums, Angels in America, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Songs From the Second Floor, The Big Lebowski, Pan's Labyrinth & anything by Pedro Almodóvar (but especially Hable Con Ella & Todo Sobre Mi Madre)

Music: The Knife, Yo La Tengo, Spoon, Wilco, Basement Jaxx, Beck, Talking Heads, Luna, Air, Radiohead, Final Fantasy, LCD Soundsystem, Sonic Youth, St. Vincent, Super Furry Animals, The Fiery Furnaces, The Avalanches... You can also check me out on last.fm, if you're into that sort of thing.

TV Shows: I would give a little piece of my soul to have Battlestar Galactica back on the air. Other shows I get geeky about: 30 Rock, Arrested Development, Wonderfalls, Lost, & Project Runway.

Food: Anything good and vegetarian. I've been trying to eat vegan lately, which is interesting since I've always been kind of a junk food vegetarian.

The six things I could never do without

My glasses, my car (or a bicycle or something), music, someone to talk to, the internet, free will.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

On a typical Friday night I am

Playing Boggle.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I can't grow a full beard.

You should message me if

You're an intelligent guy with a good sense of humor, you're a Harry Potter fan, you like The Simpsons, vegetarian food, or reading Kurt Vonnegut. Or you think guys with glasses are hot.
