When people first meet me, they immediately think I'm sweet and nice. I'm a pretty happy person...usually with a smile on my face. I can be a little quiet until you get to know me. But those who actually know me understand my darker, effed-up., sarcastic side. I have a slightly twisted sense of humor.

I'm a hippie at heart. Love the Dead (don't hold that against me). Music is important to me and I love being introduced to new sounds. Lately, I've been listening to lots of Sam Cooke. I recently came across a CD compilation called Beg, Scream & Shout!. Amazing. Soulful and groovy. Highly recommend.

I wish I read more. Reading lately has been limited to cookbooks, not that it's a bad thing. I have a great collection of cookbooks and I dig perusing them for ideas.

I hate small talk, littering pisses me off and I still haven't found an olive I like.

Livin' the dream. After 15 years in the corporate/legal world, I quit my job to be a cook. It's pretty amazing and I'm having a blast. Total change of pace but I'm a tough cookie.

I'm also starting a food truck which will hopefully be open by Spring. Hope you like waffles!

I'm really good at finding parking spots and lost money on the street... truly. I'm also really good at parallel parking!

I love cooking but I think I'm better at baking. If you have a sweet tooth, we'll get along pretty well.

I usually have a silly grin on my face.

If you see me driving, I'm probably singing like an idiot or getting my groove on.

I love all types of music... favorites include grateful dead, phish, tribe called quest, feist, erykah badu, the roots, aretha franklin, ting-tings, beck, beatles, nina Simone, broken bells, florence + the machine, beatles, little dragon, arcade fire, oh land, tennis, santogold, sharon jones, Adele, black keys, rolling stones, all kinds of reggae. I love, love, love live music.

books... like water for chocolate, namesake, water for elephants, kite runner, omnivore's dlilemma and any cookbook. For authors -Nick Hornby, Alice Walker, Wally Lamb, Jhumpa Lahiri, Richard Brautigan, Tom Wolfe, Jack Kerouac

movies... the graduate, almost famous, before sunrise, chocolat , big night, high fidelity, juno, mostly martha, the station agent, whip it

food... all and any ethnic foods! the more authentic the better and I love spicy!
