I am quiet, smart, and introverted.
My Self-Summary
I'm really bad at talking about myself, but I'll give it a shot.
I'm 21 currently working full-time at Wal-Mart (at the Service
Desk), while also attending college off and on towards my degree in
English Literature. I work strange hours, so I end up spending a
lot of time catching up on my sleep. However, I do like to read in
my spare time; I usually go through about 2-3 books in a week. I
also like playing computer games like The Sims, or Guild Wars (an
MMORPG for anyone who doesn't know). I love video games, too. I'm a
big fan of the Final Fantasy series. I'm kind of a nerd, I think.
I'm currently trying to learn Mandarin Chinese, but it's a slow and
painful process.
As far as my personality, I'm extremely quiet. I have a really hard
time opening up to people, and even after I'm comfortable with
someone I still tend to be more of a listener than a talker.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm currently working at Wal-Mart full-time (I accept your
condolences). It's an okay job, but it's really just for the
paycheck. I'm attending college on and off working on my degree in
English Lit., but I'm considering changing majors. I'm not sure
what I want to really do with my life right now, I'm still
searching. I think that I want to work in the publishing field, or
journalism. Maybe both. I really love books and writing, so I want
to be able to do something with them.
I’m really good at
This is hard for me to answer, I have a pretty bad self-image. I
can read really fast. I'm a good listener and problem-solver. I'm
pretty good at video games (I won the final fight in Resident Evil
5 with just a knife. Yeah, I have skillz). Umm...I can't really
think of anything else right now. Maybe I'll add more to this
later.
The first things people usually notice about me
I think they'll notice that I'm quiet; I like to listen, rather
than to be directly involved in the conversation. I hope people
notice my eyes, which I've always thought were my best feature.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
I read A LOT so I'll attempt to list just some of my favorite books
>_<
I really enjoy YA Vampire books. Don't ask me why, I just do. I
like the Twilight series, but I'm not obsessed with it or anything.
I also really like The Host (by the same author). Probably my
favorite series in this genre is The Morganville Vampires by Rachel
Caine, they are really great books. I also like adult vampire
novels, like The Southern Vampire Mysteries (aka True Blood). I
also like classics such as Jane Eyre, Pride and Prejudice, and many
Shakespeare plays. I really enjoy Dan Brown's novels (i.e. Angels
and Demons, The Da Vinci Code, The Lost Symbol, Digital Fortress).
I've read Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings, and I enjoyed them
both a lot. I really enjoy any good book, but it has to catch my
attention right from the beginning. I'm open to any suggestions, as
I tend to quickly run out of things to read.
I enjoy watching movies, at home or in the theater. Some of my
favorites are: The Dark Knight, Death Note (all three), Pride and
Prejudice, Twilight, 21, Underworld (I haven't seen the new one yet
>_<), Across the Universe, 10 Things I Hate About You,
Elizabeth, Elizabeth: The Golden Age, Harry Potter, Lord of the
Rings, The Princess Bride, The Forbidden Kingdom, Resident Evil
series, Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, Hairspray, Pirates of
the Carribean, Sweeney Todd, The Other Boleyn Girl, The Golden
Compass, Wall-E, Little Miss Sunshine, Moulin Rouge, 300, V for
Vendetta, and many, many others that I won't name here.
I will really listen to pretty much any kind of music, but I listen
mostly to rock music (at this very moment I'm listening to The
Night by Disturbed, great song). I don't really like rap in
general, but there are a few songs that I just love. I think it's
really important to keep an open mind in music ^_^
Food...I'll try anything once. For the most part I like pretty
normal stuff (i.e. junk food). I don't eat a lot of red meat, I
mostly stick to chicken; I don't really care for seafood. I'm a
pretty good cook when I'm motivated to do so, and the last recipe I
made that was really good was curry.
The six things I could never do without
1. My family - So cliche, I know. Really, though, even though I
bicker a lot with my family, I couldn't imagine not being around
them. We show our love for each other by arguing ^_^
2. My computer - Being the introvert that I am, my computer is
really my social outlet. I play games on here, listen to music,
chat with friends, etc. If I'm not at work or sleeping, I'm
probably on my computer
3. Video games - God I'm a geek, but I like video games. I think
they're kind of an outlet for stress for me. Nothing like shooting
some zombies or monsters to get all your pent up aggression
out.
4. Books - I think I would die if I could never read a book
again.
5. Food?
6. Oxygen?
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I spend a lot of time thinking about the future. I wonder about
kind of job I want to have, what kind of people I want to meet,
what kind of house I'll live in, what kind of person I want to be
and be with. I also think about the places I want to travel, which
is pretty much anywhere. I especially want to travel to England and
Asia. I also think about a lot of random stuff, I especially like
playing the "what if" game with myself.
On a typical Friday night I am
I would be at home, or possibly at work. I'm not a partying person
at all, so I usually spend my time at home watching TV or playing
some games. Sometimes I might go out with some friends, but that's
hard since we all work at the same place and our hours tend to
overlap. I enjoy spending quiet time at home, but I don't mind
going out every now and then
You should message me if
You should message me if you like what you've read about me. If you
want to talk to an amazingly geeky and/or nerdy girl. I like
talking to new people, but (as I said before) I'm really shy, so
you'll have to be willing to make me talk ^_^
