What I’m doing with my life

I am finishing my first year of uni/college, majoring in graphic design and advertising. I would love to be an art director one day. Right now I am living in Oz, but I really want to travel the world and explore different places!

I’m really good at

Art and design come naturally to me... I guess that's why I go to art school! I also love to surf. I have since I was 8 and made the national team a couple of years ago, except I don't compete too much anymore, I just surf for fun. I did well at school graduating with a college scholarship and I am also pretty athletic which I think is a good balance. I like to swim, run, play basketball and surf for exercise. Trying to teach myself guitar... I'm not too good yet haha.

The first things people usually notice about me

If I'm at a party they will probably notice my helping my friends up from the floor! I love to have a good time but I'm not a big drinker myself, so I'm usually the responsible friend haha.

Physically, probably my blonde hair/blue eyes.

Otherwise they would probably notice that I can be quite shy at first but once I get comfortable I love a good chat :)

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books: My favorite books vary but include Catcher in the Rye, To Kill A Mockingbird and The Great Gatsby. Also New York Times, Wallpaper*, Frankie Magazines.

Movies: Garden State is probably my favorite movie. I love pretty much any comedy. Into the Wild is a good one too. I actually probably watch more TV though... Friends, Seinfield, Big Bang... guilty pleasure = the Hills and Gossip Girl (so envious of their lives). Massive OC fan!

Music: Indie! Death Cab, Vampire Weekend, The Panics, Muse, also older stuff like Blondie and Dire Straits.

Food: Hmm... sushi, coffee (does that count as food?)

The six things I could never do without

Macbook, Ipod, Surfboard, Good company, Coffee, Water i guess!

I spend a lot of time thinking about

What I want to do with my life. I go through stages of wanting to be an architect... then it's an art teacher... then it's a designer... curator of somewhere important like MoMA...
If it were a perfect world and I had a zillion dollars I'd travel the world and live glamorously in NYC and not have to worry about this... but oh well :)

On a typical Friday night I am

At the moment studying! Finals are coming up so it is pretty crazy. But usually hanging out with my friends, out on the town or relaxing at home with a movie.
