I am silly, straightforward, and sleepy.

My Self-Summary

I live in Worcester and am in school. In my down-time, which I don't have much of these days, I like cooking, reading fiction, watching movies, being outdoors, reading newspapers and afterellen.com online, and arts and crafts. Political activism is important (and fun?) to me, though I haven't had much time for it lately.

What I’m doing with my life

I'm in medical school, and it makes my time evaporate. But I manage to get some time in with friends and family, which keeps me happy. I'm generally interested in public health and international work.

I’m really good at

Falling asleep in random places. Cooking also.

The first things people usually notice about me

I have no idea. A few people have told me that I have a Canadian accent, others, that I have big eyes. Probably, since I'm in Central Massachusetts, people notice that I'm Indian, or some kind of brown.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

I recently read Fun Home (Alison Bechdel). Old favs are Midnight's Children (Rushdie) and One Hundred Years of Solitude (Garcia Marquez). James Baldwin, Jeanette Winterson too. I saw The Lives of Others recently, which was excellent. I like politically themed films, like Milk, but also have a good time watching silly/fun/trashy things, e.g. L-Word. Food? I'm a fish-eating vegetarian and not too dogmatic about it. I think vegetarian cooking is funner than all the rest.

The six things I could never do without

beans, my wallet, my friends, possibility, summertime, the library.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

you?

On a typical Friday night I am

asleep, working, watching a movie, falling asleep reading a book, cleaning my room, or having dinner with friends at the local secret vegan Taoist restaurant.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

i'm not a fan of internet exhibitionism.

You should message me if

you live sort of nearby and want to hang out and are riotous occasionally. and/or if you're interested in somehow having international work in your life.
