I'm firm believer that a life without humor is one that is not truly worth living. I'm not quite sure if I am sarcastic by nature, or if it was a learned skill, either way I seemed to be well versed in it. I enjoy being outdoors, hiking, reading, hanging out with friends, just about any card game in existence, trivia and any kind of conversation that is in the least bit mind stimulating. I live on a farm, but I still don't think I could get by without a healthy dose of technology daily. When it comes to music I find that my taste varies greatly with my mood. I follow some amazing TV shows, and haven't met a zombie movie I didn't like. I also play video games when time permits, and can hold my own in the kitchen.
I'm a nurse and work in an ER. I could potentially save your life one day, or swab your throat to determine you are suffering from a common cold (don't be that guy). I am also currently working on a BA degree.
I am the proud mother of a beautiful, hilarious, and intelligent toddler. She's my everything, so there's also that.
What I’m doing with my life
Working, continuing my education, and raising my little monster.
I’m really good at
Science, puzzles, learning, and trivia most days. I'm also great at
punctuality, I truly hate being late. With that being said, I'd
like to mention that patience is not one of virtues, but I'm
working on it.
The first things people usually notice about me
My smile? I'm not sure.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I just finished the most recent book in the series a Song of Ice
and fire, which is now up there on my list. Zen and the Art of
Motorcycle Maintenance, House of Leaves, Hitchhiker's Guide to the
Galaxy, along with many others.
Movies: The Professional, Waking life, The Nines, Aliens, Donnie
Darko, Contact, Tucker and Dale Verses Evil, zombie movies....I
really can't think of any more off the top of my head at the
moment, but I assure you there are many more.
I'm currently following Breaking Bad, Being human (BBC version),
American Horror Story, The Walking Dead, Shameless, Game of
Thrones, Archer. Other amazing shows that I have seen more than
once include the Venture Brothers, Battlestar Galatica, and
Music is a bit more difficult to nail down. It really depends on my
mood or circumstance. I have a very wide range that I listen to,
and I can tell you that I typically don't enjoy country, vapid pop
music, or rap. Some of the bands I'm listening to recently include:
Man Man, Arcade Fire, Daft Punk, Local Natives, Passion Pit, Black
Keys, Manchester Orchestra, Stone Temple Pilots, Primus, Tool,
System of a Down, older Incubus, and so many more. I'm really
drawing a huge blank right now.
Food? I'm pretty open to a lot on this subject. Breakfast is by far
my favorite meal of the day, and I'm not picky about what time of
day that may be. Sushi is another one of my favorites, and I am
always open to trying just about any new great food I come across.
The six things I could never do without
My daughter, humor, animals, books, friends, knowledge.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Life, the universe, and everything.
On a typical Friday night I am
Recently? Not much more than getting together with a few friends
and having our idea of a good time, whatever that may be.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm on a dating website.
