My self-summary
“Show up, pay attention, tell the truth and don’t be attached to the results.” One of my favorite quotes reminds me that the habitual need to keep moving forward is yielding to the peace that comes from making time to sit still. Goals remain but attachment to outcomes is fading. Life unfolds beautifully without my efforts to shape it. Gratitude, equanimity and serenity.
What I’m doing with my life
I've reached the point I wasn't expecting where work is now an end to a means and the pursuit of academic knowledge has taken a back seat to looking within. I blame yoga and meditation for the timely end to defining myself by my career and possessions though I will admit I was warned this would happen :-) I've learned to be grateful for all the moments leading to where I am right now.

This doesn't mean I sit around meditating all day or chanting with monks at Buddhist monasteries. While I've done both those things they aren't frequent occurrences. It simply means I have a greater interest in learning what's really true for me and living that without hesitation or regret. What's true for me is sincere effort in what I do, staying active to preserve my health and fitness, being of service in my work and personal endeavors and appreciating the connections of all types I make with people in my life.
I’m really good at
being still and listening.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm not shy about making eye contact.

On a typical Friday night I am
Out or in enjoying the company of friends. Out to a show at Strathmore or any of the other venues listed above. Relaxing after a nice bike ride. Most often I would like to spend Friday evenings with my significant other doing whatever strikes our fancy.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
