I'm a 29 year old musician - just writing this may send some girls running for the hills, but let me say up front - I actually make a living at it, and a pretty good one. I've been told I'm charming and funny, though I also consider myself humble - which would explain why I'm having trouble bragging about myself right now (sarcasm implied). I am driven to succeed in music, involving myself in a number of different creative outlets. This is not to say I don't make relationships a priority - I've been falling in love since I was 5 years old. I suppose I'm looking for someone who is equally driven in their own career, especially the arts, who would understand the challenges and expectations of the creative life - someone who could share this experience.

In terms of a living -- I am a Music Director for a church; I play piano for ballet class; I teach; and when I'm not doing those things, I'm applying for a doctoral degree, practicing or composing music. And when I'm not doing that, I'm performing classical and jazz. It sounds like I don't have any free time, but I actually do, and would love to spend it with somebody else...

As far as the future goes, I plan on conquering the world.

Hmm, this is tough. Favorite books: Well I was on a Stephen King kick for awhile, I really loved "Lisey's Story" as well as his Dark Tower series, just finished Obama's "Dream from My Father" which is amazingly well written and poignant, and many music biographies. Hawking's "Brief History of Time" also blew me away, out into the universe.

Movies: the weird but cool stuff - anything by Charlie Kaufman, Wes Anderson, Darren Aronofsky, Woody Allen but also the mainstream too - Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter (okay okay, I'm a bit of a dork) - I'll watch anything really, except for horror, not a big fan of torturing myself.

Music is a big on for me, I'm all over the place. Classical: Stravinksy, Bernstein, Gershwin, Copland. Jazz: Joshua Redman, Brad Mehldau, Jeff Keezer, Bill Evans. Rock: Radiohead, Weezer, Deftones. Electronica: Imogen Heap

Food - anything and everything, especially Thai and Indian - but I'm from California and have been craving good Mexican. I'm not much of a fan of heavy Southern style cookin, everything else is good with me.
