My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
At the risk of becoming the butt of jokes, due to the attention my state has been receiving lately, I'm going to admit that I'm a Floridian. Growing up there wasn't as crazy as you'd think, but then again, I grew up on the coast. Too much time on the beach may have clouded my judgement, but how many people can say they grew up watching space shuttle launches from their doorstep?
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Finishing my Biology degree and teaching science to children, all while (finally) teaching myself how to play guitar.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I can make a mean mojito. It's all about the technique, although it helps if you're crazy about citrus. Some call it an addiction; I call it a lifestyle.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Apparently I'm "quirky". I'm not sure if this is a compliment or not.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

This is where everyone seems to list every book they've ever owned. Instead, I'll stick with what is important: Hard copy > Kindle. That is all. (Also, I just started reading the Game of Thrones books and I'm hooked!)

Netflix seems to think I'm fond of critically-acclaimed dramas, dark dramas, "cerebral" movies, and documentaries. I'd say that's about accurate. I'll watch just about anything, though. Hold the romance flicks.

These are the shows that own a small piece of my heart: Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, The Wire, Homeland, Futurama, South Park, The Daily Show, Colbert Report, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Arrested Development, and Parks and Rec.

My iPod consists of a hodgepodge of a little bit of everything. I have a particular fondness for classic rock but I'll give anything a try, even rap and country. I've noticed a lot of people excluding those genres as a whole, which I don't think is fair. If it sounds good, I'll listen to it.

I really like "ethnic" foods. I love trying new things. If there is something on a menu that I've never tried before, odds are that's what I'm ordering.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Free Parking
Cuban Coffee
Minimalist Running Shoes
Loquat Season
Dark Beer
Extra Firm Pillows
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Why so many of my matches on here are vegetarians. Are they secretly judging me for eating meat?
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I try to switch it up, but honestly there aren't that many things to do in DC on a Friday night besides barhopping. So, I usually end up doing that or hanging out at a friend's place. During the winter, due to my hatred of cold weather, I found myself staying in much more than usual. If I stay in, I usually end up playing video games or watching Netflix.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
If the workers at a restaurant I frequent start to recognize me enough that they know my order before I tell it to them, I find a new favorite restaurant.
