My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm tall, confident, positive, grounded, athletic, non-jealous, non-possessive, rational but empathic, highly sexual and oh yes, a most definitely happy man. I love life, and walk the road with a pervading sense that things tend to turn out alright. I'm looking for deep connections with mature and open-minded people.

I have a full life that includes a healthy dollop of ambition, passion and creativity - there's nothing missing, so if you're a "need someone to complete me" type of person, might want to skip the rest of this profile :)

What I AM searching for from OKC is someone who will mutually push boundaries and search for adventures. Show me something, and let me show you something, that one or both of us has never done before.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
By-day, I do consulting and creative team management for mostly web-based stuff.

By-nights and -weekends I sing and play guitar, keys and bass and produce recordings for my own musical project with good friends. www.takegreathighway.com if you're interested.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Singing harmonies, playing bass, composing music. Cycling massive distances. Organizing an epic wine tasting trip. Making out - I'm a great kisser.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
That I'm tall, or I smile a lot. I also get a lot of compliments on my butt, especially when I'm jogging through the Castro :)

Most of the girls who've written me on OKC think I'm "cute as a button" and just want to pinch my cheeks. I get cute a lot more than I get "ragingly manly sexy," most likely because of my million dollar smile, and because the only blonde guy who has ever gotten "ragingly manly sexy" from a woman is that guy who plays James Bond.

Music, music is the thing. These days I prefer artists with an electronic/digital bend.

EDM: Bassnectar, The Floozies, .Flying Lotus, Gramatik, Kaskade, Michael Cassette, Pumpkin, Shakatura, Shapeshifter, Simian Mobile Disco.

More laid-back stuff: Air, The Bionaut, Boards of Canada, Emancipator, Grimes, Little Dragon, Nicolas Jaar, Telepopmusik, Tycho.

Poptronica and Indietronica: Chicane, Delphic, Discovery, Hot Chip, M83, Miike Snow, Monarchy, The Naked and Famous, New Build, OneRepublic, St. Lucia, and my own band Great Highway (shameless plug).
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Discovering music
Making music
Wine
Sunshine
Large bodies of blue water

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
All of the above, and people - I'm an observer of people and think a lot about my friends.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Rehearsing/recording/gigging with my band...drinking wine in Sonoma...watching old Mystery Science Theater episodes...pub crawling the Mission or Upper Haight...occasionally dancing.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm a completely open book - it'd be too hard to think of anything private. I keep privacy mostly for the sake of others, rarely for myself.

I am one of the most likely people to not judge a secret habit, fetish, or joy that you have in your life. If you have a secret kink, a geeky hobby, a preference you find embarrassing or something you wouldn't tell "normal people," you'll quickly learn you can tell me and find me smiling about it - at least a 50% chance I'll share and enjoy it with you. Consider yourself challenged :)

Quick addendum, since this seems to come up a lot: yes, I have naturally dominant tendencies under the covers.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
Honestly you can write me for any reason, if the mood suits you. I welcome anyone's message, and will probably write you back if you're interesting on any level, romantically or otherwise. You can just say hello, or ask me a question - or just tell me an interesting story.

I say yes to open-minded people, festival-goers and -doers, gypsies, nerds, geeks, secret or not-so-secret hippies, sensation-seekers, music lovers, or anyone with a positive state of mind and/or their sexuality on a healthy happy overdrive. If you've read Sex At Dawn and nodded your head yes several times, tell me!

I'm not ageist and welcome anyone old enough to drink and younger than 50 (so long as we both think the other person is mega hot. Ha!).

I would also give 1,000 points to any girl who wrote me any of the hilarious poorly-written messages that girls apparently get from guys all the time. I'm having a blast reading them, so ladies, keep on sending 'em.

My wall of favorites so-far (yes, these are each full emails sent by men to women on OKC):

"hi tits."

"Wanna fuck?" (followed by a phone number)

"Hey ur cute, where do u live?"

CURRENT FAVORITE:

"friends.
sex.
Eric." (this one is also followed by a phone number)

"Hi, I'm naked in a hotel room and alone. Would you like to come play with me."

"Always demand more from the sunset. I am a romantic and I love to love. How about you?"

and (this one is both funny and tragically, tragically sad),

"You might be the person who can get me out of my shell. I am in an arranged marriage so need to be discreet as my wife is not as open as you are."
