My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm goofy, imaginative, curious, and affectionate. I have my shy moments (including now... am I really summarizing myself for thousands of strangers?? AHHH!!), but the shyness passes once I get curious about the person I'm talking to.

I'm originally from the Washington D.C. area, but have been living in Seattle for almost 5 years. I LOVE it here. The beer, the art, the mountains, the people, the laid-back lifestyle - the northwest is a magical place.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I have a masters degree in education, and am currently doing one-on-one teaching with kids with learning disabilities and ADHD. It's awesome! My kids are fascinating, I play games all day, and I get to help kids become more confident and happy with themselves. Not a bad gig.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
- Inventing group games. I worked at a summer camp for seven years...these things stick.
- Reading, research, writing, and most other nerdy, academic endeavors
- Seeing the good in other people
- Asking questions (for knowledge, for wisdom, and for funsies)
- Organizing game nights, happy hours, and parties
- Making an ass of myself while singing Karaoke
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My glasses and eyes. Over the years people have alternately told me I look like a disney character, or like Elizabeth Shue.

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
- Good books
- Dark chocolate & coffee (they go together)
- All my amazing DC and Seattle friends... I wish I could transport them all to one place!
- Fancy wool socks
- Journal
- Internet videos of cute animals. Shut up.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Is it summer yet??, Jedi mind-control (i.e. - how do I get this kid to do what I want without them know they're being controlled?), what happens inside the brain, breeds of dog I'd like to own, what awesome tricks my dog would learn, hats I'd like to knit, that drawing class I'd like to sign up for...
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
At happy hour/party/dinner/game night with friends.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I once picked a friend's nose in exchange for a jumbo box of nerds.

You can make a girl laugh, you're into anthropology or sociology, and you like spending time in the outdoors. Bonus points if you ever worked as a camp counselor.
