My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
What to say here to convey an accurate impression? I could mention that I'm down to earth and open minded, yet not one to settle for the status quo. I like reading, watching movies / tv shows, playing guitar (occasionally accompanied by singing), and also enjoy outdoor activities such as running, hiking, swimming, snowboarding, or playing beach volleyball. I love travelling and meeting people with different backgrounds and viewpoints.

I'm a knowledge sponge and a truth seeker, introverted in that I can be perfectly happy in my own company but also able to be outgoing when I want and enjoy the company of interesting people.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Investing in myself and figuring out where I want to go. Acquiring knowledge and learning languages. Staying in good shape.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I boil a mean egg.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!

When it comes to fiction, the books that made the biggest impression on me lately are Tropic of Cancer by Henry Miller, The Unbearable Lightness of Being by Milan Kundera, Catcher in the Rye by J. D. Salinger, and A Guide to the Good Life: The Ancient Art of Stoic Joy by William B. Irvine. Other favorites include Brave New World, Flowers for Algernon, Catch-22, Fahrenheit 451, Replay (by Ken Grimwood), plus books by Tolkien, G.R.R. Martin, and Dan Simmons. I also read a bit of non-fiction books about human nature, history, science, politics, and philosophy, or about whatever it is I want to be learning. Recent examples would be Understanding Power: The Indispensible Chomsky by Noam Chomsky and Homage to Catalonia by George Orwell.

Bands I like listening to include Led Zeppelin, Metallica, Placebo, Röyksopp, Depeche Mode, Justice, Daft Punk, and The Smiths just to name a few. I also like a lot of 80s and 90s music and random indie and pop music.

As for movies I could list a few that I've enjoyed recently: Keinohrhasen, Das Leben der Anderen, Gegen die Wand, Melancholia, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Oslo August 31st, Into the Wild, War Horse, Lost Highway, Papillon, Taking Woodstock, and Amores Perros. Longer term my favorites include Fifth Element, Fight Club, Donnie Darko, and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.

I enjoy fun TV series such as Flight of the Conchords, Arrested Development, Peep Show, The IT Crowd, and Futurama. I'm also into ones with a bit more suspense such as Dexter, House, The Walking Dead, Firefly, Rome, Spartacus, Game of Thrones, and Breaking Bad.

When it comes to food I enjoy various Asian cuisines, primarily Chinese, Indian, and Thai. I won't say no to Italian or sushi either.
