I'm really not good at just talking about myself with no specific topic, so I'll basically cover it in the other questions. I'm just writing this one because it's mandatory, and I need "a few sentences" to fill up some space so OKCupid will show my profile to other people. So: blah blah blah. I hope this is long enough.

I just started a new job with the Indiana Department of Child Services (child protective services), and am living alone for the first time (yay!) Outside of work, I'm truly just relaxing and having fun for the first time in my life. Finally no more homework and tests and things forcing me to be responsible 99% of the time. :)

I don't know what I'm REALLY good at, but I like to think I'm pretty good at playing my flute, except that I haven't played for a while. I'm starting to miss it though, so I need to find a community band or something to join.

My hair. It's naturally red and not quite halfway down my back.

Books: Right now I'm just starting the Harry Potter series (I know I'm a little behind, but I didn't really intend to read them until I wanted to know what everyone was so pissed about in the last one without waiting for the movie). Current favorite authors are VC Andrews, Stephen King, and John Grisham.

Movies: Usually whichever couple of movies I saw most recently, unless they were bad. I tend to pick out horror/thrillers and romantic comedies.

Music: I can listen to anything and learn to like it, but my current favorites (my tastes are too broad to pick absolute favorites on pretty much anything, so any favorites listed could change at any time) are The Killers, Simple Plan, and Bowling for Soup.

What do I spend a lot of time thinking about? Certainly my job - I just started getting cases, and there's been nothing too tough so far, but I know I've just started to get my feet wet. I can't wait until I know my job well enough that I don't remember something I should have asked after the fact. For a while I was preoccupied with trying to find a new car that I like that my dad approves of, becuase while we don't agree a lot, I know that he knows a lot more about cars than I do and wants me safe, so I respect his opinion in the matter. Anyway... I was preoccupied with that, but I finally got my new car and love it, so that's a huge weight off my shoulders and one less thing to worry about. I also think about what the next big thing in my life is going to be, and when it's going to happen. I've just done a lot of the major 'firsts' within the past few months. Graduated from college, first apartment, first real job, first new car (one that's truly mine, anyway), so now what? What's my next goal?

Hanging out with friends, or relaxing with my kitty in front of the tv.
