I am honest, hardworking, and intelligent.

My Self-Summary

Well let's see. I am a science major so that's why this might be a little bland. I definitely cannot do any of the intricate wording that some can on here. I am currently in school for my PhD, and can't believe I'm still in school (it feels like it will never end). A little about my personality and the type of guy I am. Well, I am a nice guy...simple as that. Because of the niceness I have developed a tough exterior, but it definitely protects me. I'm working hard on not being naive. I recently came out and have learned that not all gay men celebrate their uniqueness, comparatively to the other closed minded South Texans, in the same fashion as myself (which I respect). Meaning all the hook-ups. After being closeted for many years I just want to celebrate my sexuality in way that I feel doesn't demean myself (definitely no disrespect towards anyone). I really and truly just want to meet a nice decent man that is self sufficient, educated and hard working. I guess this would classify me somewhat as a romantic as well. I'll have to think more on this later, it's difficult talking about yourself.

What I’m doing with my life

I am in the science education field pursuing a higher degree. I really enjoy conducting informal education outreach and I am seriously contemplating becoming a teacher in a STEM school. I also am thinking about just moving out of Corpus once I graduate, but not too sure on that one. I know that I want it some day but I need to get some more experience in the aforementioned areas.

I’m really good at

humor, cooking, laughing, and coordinating things (thought I should put something different in there). Well like anyone I'm good at a lot of things and also bad at a lot of other things.

The first things people usually notice about me

are my eyes and hmmm I dunno. I don't really go around asking people what they think of me.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

I am very well rounded in all areas, which is kind of a hurry and type, type of answer. So to elaborate a little my favorite book is Prayers for Bobby, Life of Pi and the Harry Potter collection. My favorite movie is now The Watchmen. This sounds pretty corny but I'm into all the new Disney Pixar movies, and as a Marine Biologist of course I like Nemo, but have a strong fondness of Wall-E because of the truths that probably go right over the majority of the youth's heads. I have a weird relationship with Family Guy. I have gotten to the point where I can relate real life instances to something that I saw in Family Guy (but I like it because it puts a smile on my face). I actually am well rounded in music. However, all time favorite band is Portishead. I know the well rounded answer doesn't work all the time, but I have recently found Pandora and love it because it really does help open you up to new music. Food, ha, it would be easier just to say I don't like onions and mayo.

The six things I could never do without

The sweet taste of a cold beer (going with the nasty MGD64 just because I don't feel guilty drinking them). Deodorant because I always like to smell good usually because of the next thing I can't do without, which are my dogs. I have two and they are my boys. I firmly believe in family. I do not get enough of it but I really would like to be able to say that I could never do without sleep. Finally good food, because good food usually is incorporated with good people which make for a good atmosphere. (I just read In Defense of Food...it's a really good book talking about organics and how humans have resorted to the animalistic nature of feeding.)

I spend a lot of time thinking about

my future...where I'm going in life. Ha and getting rid of Scoot (my Scooter).

On a typical Friday night I am

hanging with friends drinking beer and either playing pool or watching the tube

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I think we'll just continue to keep things private until I get to know you.
