I was not sent by any company and I'm not only here for a few years.
In 2012 I sold everything I had and moved to Singapore. Very often I think back to that time and think it was a bit crazy, but it's the best decision I've ever made. I love this place!
Currently I'm taking Mandarin classes twice a week for 3h per session. It's tough, but I like it! :)
... I'm really wondering how long it takes for me to become fluent...?
Luckily all my friends are locals and most of them speak Mandarin, so this should help. Yes, I have only one Caucasian friend - a really good guy who's unfortunately leaving soon...
The reason why I don't have any Caucasian friends, is because I don't really see the point in having friends that are only here for a year or two and just want to have 'a good time' and then they go home...
I'm more interested in friendship that lasts longer than a year.
And the same about women... I'm looking for something meaningful - it has to feel right...
Generally I have a pretty healthy lifestyle. Ok... there's the occasional drinking, but sometimes I go 2 or 3 weeks without getting shitfaced :)
I'm addicted to crossfit and I love surfing!
