I moved to Philly a year ago after being recruited by my current
employer during my last year of schooling. Currently, I work in
Jenkintown (tis quite the long commute) and live in West Philly. My
work involves analyzing trends, processing data, and providing the
deliverables to the clients. essentially, I'm a energy and
facilities management consultant.
My work has afforded me the opportunity to travel to many different
parts of the country such as Montana, North Carolina, Arkansas,
Missouri, & Arizona. This is definitely one of the perks of my
current position; however, being away from home for such a long
time can be quite draining at times.
To balance my work life, I attempt to involve myself with physical
activities as much as possible. I quite enjoy cylcing (I have a
road bike and a tour bike), less so running, and really exploring
Philly by foot, as there are always which I have not been.
Within the next few years I plan on going back to school to
continue my studies. I haven't quite figured out for what study,
but I imagine it will have to do with either the technical or
cultural side of energy use. Time will tell.
