My loves include the sitcom I Love Lucy, the amazing duo that is Daft Punk, and laughing as well as making people laugh. I also love a good prank.
I especially also love travelling (pretty much have to). My mom's Egyptian, father's Nigerian. Grew up Muslim, not religious now really. I'm the only American in my extended family, but I do have two brothers, one born in London, the other in Cairo. I've lived for short periods of time and explored lots of Egypt and the majority of my family is there, studied for a semester in Nice, France, visiting Monaco, Cannes, and everywhere else I could fit in on weekends. I've been stranded in both Barcelona, Spain and Milan, Italy-- the sketchiest being Milan (a story for another day), and I have quite a few interesting travel tales from there and other places. Exchanging travel stories is a fave hobby of mine.
I want to go to lots of places, but I'm not worried about fitting it all in or collecting visas. I just want to experience the present as fully as possible. I'm not much of a planner and am slightly spontaneous.
I've spent summers in London too, where some more of my family resides. I really appreciate the European public transportation and would most certainly desire to live somewhere that walking and public transit are the only tools I need to get from point A to point B. Hate cars and driving. I suck at parking.
I mentioned nothing about my love of art. So yeah, I love art. All art. I particularly deal with mixed media. My parent's always told me to major in art. Weird, right? Especially since my dad's a political science professor at my college, and my mom is, um, well... You just gotta know her. But I'm a Psychology major, minoring in Political Science at a small liberal arts private college. Senior year, but taking this (Fall 2013) semester off.
