I've been called a nerd trapped in a bro's body, I don't know if that's an accurate description, but I've heard it from multiple people.
I love nature and animals, particularly the ocean/marine life. I'm also pretty big into politics/geopolitics, board games, and learning new things.
Social flexibility/versatility is important to me- the ability to have a good time at a cocktail party/gala or a country bonfire or board games with close friends or netflix marathons etc. Probably not compatible with an extreme introvert or extrovert.
P.S. My username is a How I Met Your Mother reference (kudos if you got it) but don't worry, I don't actually emulate Barney, I was just watching that episode while I made my profile. Also Swarley was taken, so you should probably check out his profile too, because he clearly knows what's up.
What I’m doing with my life
Financial marketing analyst in Boston, studying (GMAT), going to brunch, working out, playing games with friends, drinking with my roommates. More Fallout 4 than I'd like to admit.
I’m really good at
Reading people, making people laugh, playing cello, kayaking, racquetball, deep conversation, board games that involve betrayal.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Martian Chronicles, Three Parts Dead, Game of Kings, Harry Potter, Antony Beevor, Hemmingway... I'm not picky when it comes to books, I hang out with some well read people and have a long backlog of great books to read. I'm currently reading Antony Beevor's new Ardennes book.
Arrested Development, Futurama, Always Sunny, Rick and Morty, How I Met Your Mother, Modern Family, 30 Rock, Veronica Mars, True Blood, Better Off Ted, Louie, BSG, Game of Thrones, The League, Mindy Project, Parks and Rec, My So Called Life.
All sorts of music, ask if you care.
The six things I could never do without
a Charlie card
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Politics, evolution, classism, statistics, my job, the future, relationships.
On a typical Friday night I am
I don't understand the question and I won't respond to it.
But real talk- drinking with my friends while watching planet earth
on mute and seeing if it syncs up to pandora, which, thanks to
confirmation bias, it always always does.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I once fought off a rabid beaver in the Ipswich river.
Ok, this isn't that private and I'm super proud of it.
You should message me if
You're a very intelligent, fun, feisty/fiery, engaging, sophisticated, cute, ambitious and compassionate person.
Also if you want to go to the aquarium.
