i like making stuff. i like buying stuff. i like doing stuff. i like stuff. and stuffing. and stuffed stuff.

i am just moving to manchester for work. i hardly know anyone there but its a bit of an adventure. not like a back-packing in the bush adventure. i'd like one of those adventures though. but for the time being this urban adventure will do.
in my free time i like going to gigs and clubs and nice pubs and restaurants. i always have random projects up my sleeve. whether its silversmithing or making old things into new things. or organising social events. i'm very good at that.

i like books by bret easton ellis, douglas coupland, haruki murakami and roald dahl. also skellig, the book thief, the harry potter series, and the secret history.
movies - wow there are too many. i used to be a total film geek. now i find i have less time to watch all the films i have lined up for myself. favourites include withnail and i, american beauty, lilya-4-ever, dancer in the dark, coffee and cigarettes, amelie and dead poet's society.
i like so much music it has got to be bad for my health. i get so overenthusiastic about it as well. recently i've been listening to fever ray, florence and the machine, marina and the diamonds, arab strap, roxy music, the knife, m83, yeah yeah yeahs and radiohead. that list will change by tomorrow.
i'm a bit of a foodie and could spend a small fortune in obnoxious delicatessens. favourites include seafood (esp mussels), goat's cheese (with a nice juicy pear), olives, steak and dark chocolate.

i could do without most things, but life would seriously suck without friends, music, internet, diet coke, bacon and a comfortable bed.

why the heck i use this website.

usually out having fun. sometimes working (boooo!). sometimes recovering from the night before. thursdays have become the new saturdays. i feel i have got to a stage in my life where i more often go out for "nice dinner and drinks" rather than a wild night out. i will have to do something about that.

this is the internet. sheesh.
