My Self-Summary

I'm a New England transplant, though I spent the last two years in Manhattan, but now I'm locked in here for a while for school. I try to not take things too seriously. I lovelovelove baseball and football.

My fifth birthday video says a lot about me: it was at the beach, my best friends to this day were the only child guests, and i got chuck taylor high tops.

I am really surprised with how much I like Nashville thus far, though wish I had more time to explore. That being said, the land locked nature of it all hurts my feelings.

My life to date has been fairly amusing.

What I’m doing with my life

I'm a first year in a PhD program in community psychology. I read a lot, wrestle with statistics, do research in East Nashville, destress with hot yoga, bud lights, and friends, and you can bank on the fact that I'm currently trying to scheme my next vacation.

dancing, playing, running, jumping, and making the best of a bad situation

The first things people usually notice about me

my crazy hair and one of several pairs of my absurd sunglass collection (though i promise i don't have a wonky eye or anything of the sort, my best friends just own a surf shop and i reap the sweet sweet gear benefits)

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close by Jonathan Safran Foer. Savage Inequalities by Jonathan Kozol (and infinite other books about education and urban community development because I am a total nerd like that...and ok with it)

Love love music, mostly of the hipsters in skinny jeans and hip hop varieties, and I may or may not belt top 40 really loudly in my car. Pandora makes me really happy.

I'm a big fan of all food, specifically sushi, indian, thai, and mediterranean. I also am a coffee fanatic, though not totally discriminatory, I love a place that has a good vibe and a delish latte.
