Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am at an amazing place in my life right now as I am living my
lifelong dream. I've always wanted to be a mom and in January 2010
I adopted a baby girl as a single mother! She is fabulous and makes
me the happiest I have ever been. I just sold the company I started
10 years ago. It was a gourmet food and specialty gift company. I
am taking a little time off and figuring out what my next endeavor
will be. I have a very close family and a wonderful circle of
friends that are so important to me. I am a go getter, always
looking to try new things and challenge myself. I am a warm,
giving, and honest woman who loves to laugh and have fun. I have
many interests including cooking, entertaining, travel and theater.
I love Atlanta and enjoy taking advantage of the many things the
city has to offer- parks, festivals, restaurants and classes. I
have thought about possibly moving back to Chicago in the next year
or so, but I'm undecided right now. I have traveled to many places
(Israel, Thailand, Alaska, Italy, France, Switzerland, Hong Kong,
Carribean) and I look forward to visiting the rest of the world in
the years to come. Since fulfilling two huge dreams, becoming a mom
and running my own business, I am ready to tackle the next one,
meeting the person I want to spend the rest of my life with. I am
heading into 2013 with great ambitions, goals and hopes. What a
great place to be!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I came to Atlanta for college at Emory and have stayed here 20
years. I did the corporate America thing for 6 of those and then
took the plunge and started a gourmet food and specialty gift
company in 2002, which I recently sold. Three years ago, life was
good, but got even better when I adopted my daughter! Best thing I
ever did was become a mom. So now, hmmmm on to my next endeavor. In
my spare time I love to travel. Enjoy taking advantage of festivals
and art fairs around Atlanta. Always up for theater, dance
performance, live music, galleries, and other cultural experiences.
I also love great food, both in restaurants and cooking at home.
Life is more fun when you have a partner in crime to share it all
with, so I am looking for the yin to my yang while I also fill my
days being a great mom and looking for my next career.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Not to sound cocky, but I am pretty good at a lot of things.
Here are a few:
Being a single mom- rarely am I stressed out. I do a great job
keeping all the balls juggling at the same time
Cooking/baking - chocolate chip banana bread is a specialty
Entertaining and throwing dinner parties - love hosting for
holidays and coming up with fun theme parties
Buying gifts - which I love to do for people
Organizing - it does not matter what, I love projects that get
everything into its place
Listening - friends often come to me when they just need someone to
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My smile. It is usually on my face as I am a pretty happy person
who has had a great life so far. I also have a big, warm,
vivacious, enthusiastic personality, so people often want to get to
know me and be a part of my large circle.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My parents and siblings
Sunshine - I love to stay in and snuggle on a rainy dreary day, but
I love a sunny day too
Great open communication
Honesty and trust
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
What I want to do next. I ran a company I started 10 years ago and
recently sold it. After taking some months off to travel, chill and
get some home renovation projects done I am trying to figure out
what my next endeavor will be. My mind is always going so I am
always thinking about the next recipe I want to try, home project I
want to tackle, trip I want to take, etc.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I could be doing any of a number of things on a Friday night. Each
one just as likely and just as enjoyable. I might be out for sushi
or Mexican food with friends. I might have cooked a great dinner
for my daughter and myself. We might be doing Shabbat dinner with a
bunch of friends. Email me and maybe you can add excitement to my
Friday nights or just be my sous chef!!!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Hmmm, I am a very open book, but I at least need to meet you before
revealing private details. Once we meet, just ask, I'll probably
tell you anything you are curious about!
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You are dynamic, well rounded and family-oriented. You should be
communicative, loving and sensitive, with close ties to your
friends and family. I am loooking for someone that will eventually
love my daughter as much as he loves me. I am drawn to men that are
bright with various interests and ambitions. If our interests are
the same, great. If not, we can learn from and support each other
in different areas. I would hope you are happy and comfortable with
yourself and where you are in life, but you are always looking to
grow and learn. You should be excited to spend time with me, but
also enjoy some time to yourself or with your friends. I am looking
for someone who is confident, but not cocky, warm, but not wimpy
and dynamic, not dull. I want to find my best friend and lover in
one. A relationship filled with friendship, love, communication,
trust, honesty, laughter and mutual respect. It’s about sharing and
inspiring each other, helping each other achieve our goals. We can
talk about anything, or sit comfortably in silence. We’re each
others' strongest supporter during the easy times and the tough
ones. I am hoping to find a relationship where I look at you in 1,
10 or 30 years and still have a respect and passion that hasn't
faded over time.
