I haven't updated this in forever so I think its time for an overhaul! Hello, my name is Luis, my friends call me Lou and my family calls me Louie. I graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of North Texas in 2006 and hoped to go into Computer Forensics but its apparently a really hard field to get into so after spending several years working in Information Technology I decided in early 2012 to change careers.

I've tried to write this paragraph several times and theres no real good way to write it so I'll just say that my oldest sister passed away in 2004 in a car accident, it was sudden and unexpected and it brought my family even closer together so as a result I am very close to my family. I have another sister and I have 5 nephews and 3 nieces as well as both my parents and we all live close to each other. We usually take a big family vacation every summer, last year we all went to Disney World and it was great

Other than my family my friends are a big part of my life, we're all getting a little older and some have gotten married and had kids, but anytime they have something to do I try to be there and of course just hanging out, having fun and shooting the breeze is one of my favorite things with them.

I'm a big Texas Rangers fan! I've been going to games my entire life and my dad and I have gone to opening day every year since 1993! Its a great tradition that I hope to continue with my own kids someday.

I don't want to write a book on here, I think part of the fun of dating someone is getting to know them, but I like to have fun, be a little silly and enjoy life. I'm 31, 6'3" tall and totally awesome! If you want to know more just shoot me a message!

These days I'm working as a substitute teacher in the hopes that it will help me to become a full time teacher for the next school year. I've been subbing since January and it has been a lot of fun and even my worse day of subbing is better than my best day of doing IT work so I know I've made the right decision in my life!

Other than work I'm trying to live a healthier lifestyle, working in IT is not conducive to healthy living what with all the sitting around and the junk food so I'm trying to eat right and exercise, I would like to someday run a 5k then a half marathon and eventually my goal is to run a full marathon

I wouldn't say I'm really good at it, but I'm an amateur wood worker. I've been into wood working for years and finally in the past few years have started to acquire the tools and have the time to start working on projects. I've built a few benches and bird houses and right now I'm restoring an old wood and metal bench for a friend. I'm hoping to have my own shop some day and do some nice high end wood work for my friends and family and just to see if I can do it.

I'd say its almost always that I'm tall, 6'3". But it could also be that I'm a little bit quiet in groups. I like to sit back and see how things play out before I jump in and make a fool of myself. One on one I have no qualms about making a fool out of myself!

Books: I love biographies, autobiographies and anything to do with history! Recently I read The Rise of Theodore Roosevelt and it was fantastic, I plan to buy the other two books by the same author about Roosevelt. I also really liked the Lord of the Rings books as well as the Hobbit, I don't read much fiction but those were pretty good.

Movies: I used to watch a lot of movies but all my movie buddies moved away! I will watch anything and probably enjoy it. I own about 200 DVDs and usually spend the weekend watching at least 1 movie.

Shows: I usually have the TV on in the background, but I really only watch a handful of shows, I don't watch reality shows or anything with anyone called honey boo boo or from any place called the jersey shore, but I do watch Ranger games.

Music: I'll listen to just about anything. Growing up my sisters listened to rock, rap and alternative, my mom country and my dad oldies, so I can enjoy lots of stuff, I lean towards classic rock though. Lately I've gotten into The Reverend Horton Heat and have been to two of his shows this year, he puts on an awesome live show!

Foods: Food is the best thing since sliced bread! I'm half mexican so I love mexican food. I'm also half cajun, so I'm all for some cajun food like crawfish etouffe.

Aside from the stuff you need to live like food, sleep, shelter, I would say Family, Friends, Humor, Sports, Computers and a car or some type of transportation!

Lately I spend a lot of time thinking about being a full time teacher. Hoping I've made the right decision and hoping that I'll be good at it. As a sub I've seen and met too many teachers who seem to be phoning it in and I want to be someone who actually cares and wants to see these kids succeed!

Fridays have become so boring for me, it used to be movie night but then my friends had to go off and either move away or get married! I still like to go out, but its rare I can get my friends out and about so I might be at a movie solo or maybe get a few people to go to a Ranger game or just hanging out at home.

Its not really private but if you like my profile and want to say Hi you should know that at the moment I do still live at home with my parents. Before you go running for the hills understand that I bought a house in 2009 all on my own, but I let my recently divorced sister and her 3 kids move in there so they wouldn't have to move in with my folks and inconvenience them!

Since then I've used the time living here to pay off all of my debt, except for the house and my student loan. Now that my sister is back on her feet and doing well she is looking for a new house for her family and as soon as I get on with a school district, I'll be in the house I've own for 3 years but never lived in yet!
