Friendly. Somewhat easy going with others, somewhat hard on myself. Not relentless about either. Somewhat relentless about goals, but not in a crazy obsessive way -- I sleep really well without chemical aids.

I like life. I like people who like life and celebrate it. Spending time with people who are always complaining is challenging. I don't mind identifying the problem but sure do appreciate getting to the solution if/whenever possible. Sometimes stuff just sucks and there is no fix ... beyond time. I think it's a useful skill to be able to sit through those sucky times without taking it out on others, and if that happens being able to own it pretty quickly and clean it up.

I don't have huge expectations of others, although I do kinda expect people to be somewhat polite and kind. or indifferent. Hostile and arrogant are right up there with complaining.

Humility is sexy. Kindness is sexy. Sexy is sexy. And I don't necessarily mean sexual. Just engaging and alluring and inviting.

I'm pretty committed to living big without being a grabby, greedy pig about it. Not large as in crazy consumption. But taking up all the space one person does when they tell the truth, live their passion and don't step on or take advantage of others.

I am serious, not overbearing, and good company.

Helping people achieve their goals, both on large and small scales. Writing about my process and attempting to codify it into a workable system. Looking around in wonder and amazement, not always amused ... but mostly. Working consistently to be a part of the solution rather than more of the problem. Eradicating debilitating delusion whenever it crops up in me -- I'm not overly concerned with your delusions unless they directly affect me.

Talking, writing, cooking, thinking, feeling, sleeping, gardening, massaging, walking, biking, hiking ...

No idea. I'm tall and my head is shaved. People sometimes seem compelled to rub the top of my head.

One of the first things I notice about them are their shoes. No foot fetish here, but good shoes catch my eye.

Oh, so many.

Not a fan of organ meats or sea urchin. I hope that doesn't label me a Philistine. Otherwise, I'm pretty easy going, food-wise. Love hole-in-the-wall places with mind-blowing surprises and restaurants with multiple forks - if the food is good and merits the effort.

Indian is a favorite cuisine these days.

Peach/blackberry pie/cobbler/crumble/betty. Pretty perfect in any form.

Movies run from light romantic comedies (that are well-written and performed) to challenging cinema. Love action movies and things where people chase other people, again the better written the better.

I like smart writers who don't make a point of reminding you how smart they are.

I like music I can sing along to; the American songbook as sung by Sarah Vaughan, Dinah Washington, etc.; Bach Cello Suites; stuff that friends turn me onto to get me out of the middle of last century or earlier... not a big fan of screaming or yelling or name calling as a musical component.

Put myself through college playing drums -- good rhythm, tuneful. Silence is fine too sometimes. The sound of the tide coming in is pretty sweet.

Really? I've done without plenty.

Clean water (for drinking and/or bathing)
Loving and thoughtful people, especially ones I already know intimately

The opportunity to touch another person
A view of something green and living out of doors (if indoors)

with friends or alone. Both are fine. Cooking, eating, at the movies or doing something "cultural." Hiking, camping, rowing out on a lake under the moonlight. Getting ready for bed.

I don't have a standard 9-5 job so no day is typical, including the nights.
