I am optimistic, compassionate, and very sarcastic.

My Self-Summary

I am usually painfully cynical. I am 24 years old, going to be 25 soon. I work in a law office, although I technically work for myself. My work focusing primarily on civil rights, employment and criminal law. I love my job.

I tend to be very argumentative, nerdy, open-minded, compassionate, understanding and non-judgmental, well with some exceptions. I hate bigotry in all of its forms, be it racism, sexism or homophobia. I don't like when people feel the need to force their values upon other people. That doesn't mean I don't like opinionated persons, I actually get along with them better, but I don't like it when individuals go beyond expressing an opinion as to another's conduct/lifestyle to forcing a change (i.e. what the fuck is up with people's opposition to gay marriage, or mandating school prayer or placing the Ten Commandments in public places or opposing stores for placing Christmas decorations (its fucking Christmas, stop being a damned scrooge.)) So while I don't like being judgmental, I will judge judgmental people. In other words, to quote Bill Maher:

"Don't become so tolerant that you tolerate intolerance"

There is a lot of other things I can say about myself, but don't feel like typing anymore. So if you would like to talk to me, send me a message.

What I’m doing with my life

I go to school (although not regularly). Hoping to go to law school after my undergrad.

I own a legal consulting business. All of the time and motivation that I should spend on improving my life, finishing school and becoming a well-rounded human being, I spend at work.

I’m really good at

being an incredibly argumentative and stubborn ass. I never shy away from a good argument, which tends to piss off lots of people around me, unless they like debating.

I am also a very good listener, love to try to help people with their problems and am pretty good at legal analysis.

The first things people usually notice about me

My smile. I don't like it, but other people seem to.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books:

1) Harry Potter (Books 4-7);
2) Catcher in the Rye, Franny and Zoey, other anything else by J.D. Salinger;

4) The Hot Zone;
5) Books about psychology, history, or social welfare.

Movies:

1) Anchorman;
2) Step Brothers;

10) Waiting (if you have worked at a restaurant, you must watch this movie, if you haven't, do yourself a favor and never watch this movie);
11) Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle;
12) High Fidelity;
13) Just Friends;
14) Lost in Translation;
15) Stranger than Fiction;

1) A random sampling of classical music;
2) I saw the sign by Ace of Base;
3) Damn it feels good to be a gangsta by the Geto Boys;
4) Love Rollercoaster by Red Hot Chili Peppers;
5) Whats Beef by Mos Def;
6) Stuck in a Moment by U2;
7) American Girl by Tom Petty;
8) Boys in the Hood by Easy-E;
9) 99 Problems by Jay Z (only because it has one of the greatest lines in rap).

Television:

1) The West Wing;
2) Arrested Development;
3) Stella;
5) The Office;
6) House;
7) Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

The six things I could never do without

My cell phone, my laptop, my collection of Will Ferrell movies, my pack of cigarettes, my Amnesty International membership card (which I currently lost), and thats about it.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Law, politics, religion, the meaning of life, my future, sex, relationships, my friends, how I can help the people around me. I think a lot.

On a typical Friday night I am

Usually I am either at home watching re-runs of House and exchanging movie quotes with my brother. Or working and exchanging movie quotes with my brother.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I'm ADD.

You should message me if

you know the German translations for "a whale's vagina." FYI: this is a quote from a movie...I am not some pervert into german porn. Repeat I am not some pervert into german porn.
