My self-summary
I was raised in New Jersey and I lived in Boston for most of my 20's. I still have Jersey pride but at that time I felt like an honorary New Englander. I fell for the laid back pace of Austin about seven years ago. I look forward to when I can wear sweaters in this adopted home town of mine.

After years of trying to find my niche in the sometime amusement park for grownups that is Austin I am more than happy to be busy with my work and creative pursuits. Those things are what matter to me the most and probably make me a more fun person to be around. Meeting someone who places a high value on making things or learning is important to me.
What I’m doing with my life
Following the fun. Crossing the streams. Trying to latch on to inspiration when I see it and ride it to creative fulfillment and maybe even pay the bills while I am at it. I own a small business installing audio-visual gear. After years of being a handy man of sorts I look forward to rebranding my company to reflect my tastes more. I perform comedy at least one night a week and play in a band.
I’m really good at
Being a gracious host. Fixing things. Being funny when I am acting serious.

I think I have a pretty good record collection and I'm not too shabby in the kitchen. That is a very abbreviated way of saying that I look forward to sharing my world.
The first things people usually notice about me
Hair that changes with the humidity and my temperament. Well dressed.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Exploring vegetarian restaurants around Austin. I have probably hit them all but I am a repeat customer of Bouldin Creek.

The Moviegoer - Walker Percy, Louis Auchincloss - The Rector of Justin, Bob Mould - Shed A Little Light (memoir), Truth in Comedy - Del Close, A Bad Idea I'm About To Do - Chris Gethard (burst out laughing and shed tears in public places reading this book).

Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story, Crimes and Misdemeanors, Werner Herzog films, The Queen, My Cousin Vinny, Notes on a Scandal

Kurt Vile, Cass McCombs, The Room Outside, classic country music, 60's pop, 90's Indie

Podcasts!
WTF with Marc Maron, The Best Show on WFMU - New Jersey.
The six things I could never do without
fresh healthy food, neighborhood walks, coffee, reverb, families of choice, community.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
"The thrill of discovery, divine intervention". Grace.
Whether the trials of self-employment are worth it for my creative freedom. If I will need to move back east to care for my parents and pursue comedy. Solving my own problems. It has taken until now to realize that it is ok if there is no template for the life you want for yourself.
On a typical Friday night I am
BYOB comedy shows, summer apartment pool hangs, playing guitar, washing dishes and cooking at the same time while listening to a podcast.
