My self-summary Propose an edit
I am a student at Brandeis University. I enjoy traveling,
internationally, nationally, and just around Boston. I like to find
new restaurants that I haven't been to yet. My self-summary will be
edited to actually summarize myself better one of these days, but
the website is telling me to put something down right now.
What I'm doing with my life Propose an edit
I am a junior at Brandeis University in Waltham, MA triple majoring
in History, Sociology and Health Science Society and Policy and
minoring in Legal Studies. I'm planning on going to Law School
after I graduate.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food Propose an edit
I am a metal fan though I do not identify with metal culture in
general. I also listen to a wide range of Indie music. I play
guitar though only very casually and love to go to
concerts.Favorite TV Shows:I don't get to watch all that much tv
overall, though I am a very big fan of Lost. I watch the Daily
Show, Colbert Report and South Park on Comedy Central quite
regularly. I also like Heroes, Prison Break and Boston Legal. I
used to be a big fan of Sex and the City though the movie sort of
ruined the series for me.Favorite Movies:I consider myself to be a
bit of a film snob though I can enjoy a good popcorn flick from
time to time. I mostly enjoy independent and foreign films.
Give me some good film recommendations to add to my netflix
queue
Some Favorite films worth mentioning
Fight Club, Memento, Dogma, Clockwork Orange, Eternal Sunshine of
the Spotless, Being John Malcovich, A History of Violence, Almost
Famous, Donnie Darko, American Psycho, Rent, I heart Huckabees,
Juno, 4 months 3 weeks and 2 days, Lives of Others, The
Counterfeiters, The VisitorFavorite Books:I go through periods of
obsessive reading for both fiction and non-fiction.
My most recent favorites in fiction include: Saturday and Atonement
by Ian McEwan, Interpreter of Maladies, The Ascent of Eli Israel,
God is Dead.
Among Non-Fiction I tend to read a lot of historical works. I
adored the biographies of John Adams and Harry S. Truman by David
McCullough. I read David Hallberstam's last book The Coldest
Winter: America and the Korean War recently and found it
magisterially written. I read a lot of books relating to the
Israeli-Palestinian conflict and love Scars of War Wounds of Peace
by Shlomo Ben Ami as well as Tom Segev's account of Palestine
during the British mandate period ( One Palestine Complete)
I'm a big fan of ethnic foods like Indian, Thai, Chinese, etc. I
tend to enjoy spicier dishes.
