I am weird, wacky, and totally awesome.
My Self-Summary
So...what to write? My name is Annie and I am not a girly type of
girl. I hate talking on the phone and though I know I'm not
beautiful, I do know I can pull off cute really well. I'm shy at
first but when you get to know me, I am super goofy and please be
warned...extra corny, lol. I also enjoy puns more than anyone has a
right to. Though I must say, it helps that I'm easily
entertained...I crack myself up! I'm a little boring sometimes, but
I can also be weird and kooky...depends on my mood.
I'm looking for a guy who is genuine and kind, hopefully has a
decent morality meter. I need someone laid-back and sweet...I've
had enough drama to last several lifetimes and definitely need a
break! I don't really care what he looks like; I've dated all
shapes, sizes, and colors. I'd also prefer (not mandatory, but it
would make things easier) if he is not totally atheistic or a
raging zealot. Somewhere in between. I don't mind a good debate on
religion or politics or whatnot, but I don't want to have to be on
opposite sides of ANY fence all the time.
For now I just want someone I can hang out with and be comfortable
in my own skin with. If something more develops in time, excellent,
but I'm not looking for forever (again)anytime soon!
What I’m doing with my life
Not a lot at the moment. Trying to get through a rough time in my
life and keep my head above water. I work for my dad - I tried to
quit and get "real" jobs (it's an inside joke) but apparenly you
can't quit a family business!
I just started going back to church (I'm attending the Simple
Church - the one that is in the cinema @ the Boardwalk). I'm
meeting new friends and endeavoring to re-connect with old ones.
Trying to expand my horizons a bit.
I’m really good at
Artistic endeavors. If you need something creative, I'm your girl!
And I am great at thinking logically and I have loads of common
sense. I also REALLY like science - I once wanted to be a
geneticist. I also once wanted to be a psychologist, but discovered
that I didn't like people that much, lol.
The first things people usually notice about me
My smile gets lots of compliments and I have been told many times
how sweet I am. But I'm good at blending into the background as
well, so I'm sometimes not noticed at all...you find out VERY
interesting things when no one realizes you're there!
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Books - Lots! Some of my favorite authors are:
Laurell K.
Hamilton,
Anne McCaffrey,
Rachel Caine,
Michael Crichton,
Terry
Goodkind,
Simon R. Green,
Kelley
Armstrong,
Susan Cooper,
Madeline L'Engle,
Douglas
Preston/
Lincoln Child, and lots of others
I can't think of at the moment. Lots of sci-fi/fantasy!
Movies - mostly anything
sci-fi/fantasy is fair game.
I am a sci-fi geek and I love all these comic book/cartoon based
movies that have come out lately. I will watch just about anything
from action to foreign films, but I've figured out that since I'm
newly living by myself, I can't watch scary movies alone
anymore...way too creepy at night! And if I'm gonna watch a chick
flick, it's either gonna be by myself or w/girlfriends...I very
rarely make a guy watch them w/me, so rest easy, men! lol
Music - a little of everything, though rap and country are on the
bottom of the list. I listen to mostly alternative/rock stuff. I
love
Linkin
Park,
SafteySuit,
Skillet,
The Fray,
Breaking Benjamin,
3 Doors Down,
Disturbed. But I
also like
classical,
big band/
swing music,
40's/
50's stuff,
jazz,
easy listening - again, pretty
much anything. An eclectic mix.
Food - I can be somewhat picky, but am basically willing to try
anything once. For example - I've had calf straws (rocky mountain
oysters - it was at a wedding reception and no, they weren't that
bad!) and I like sushi. I eat a lot of fast food at the moment
because I hate cooking for just me.
The six things I could never do without
Krash (my mutt)
Books
Comfy Jeans
Comfy T-shirt
Art tools
A Computer
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Deep stuff and sometimes really stupid stuff. A lot of the time I
just think way too much for my own good! I often go off on wild
tangents and whatever it was I started thinking about is really far
off from where the thought ends!
On a typical Friday night I am
At home with my dog, Krash, watching TV or a movie. Maybe dabbling
in some art project or another. More recently, I've started hanging
out with friends more (when I can afford to - going out to eat,
movies, & whatnot is getting expensive!). I also spend a lot of
time on
myspace
and
facebook(taatofu2).
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I am very recently divorced (WOO HOO!!!) and my ex was in jail
(drug charges). He was also psychologically abusive, and though I
am in counseling, I do have a little baggage. But I pack really
lightly for a chick and rarely ask anyone else to carry my luggage
for me, lol.
On a lighter note, I have this really weird attraction to Michael
Chiklis (The Sheild, Fantastic Four as "The Thing") and guys who
look similar. And I do have a weakness for bald men...as long as
they look good in their baldness and don't have a weird shaped
head, lol.
You should message me if
You: don't do drugs, don't smoke, rarely if ever drink, have little
to no drama in your life (or at least can keep it to a minimum
until I get to know you - you can tell me about it and I'll
comiserate, but I don't wanna be INVOLVED in it), are morally on
the upright side, sweet, fun, funny, intelligent, and though
everyone has their days, mostly not a jerk.
Right now the majority of my conversations consist of "stop licking
your winkie," (talking to my dog) So, yeah...please, I need human
conversation!
Better yet, join me on facebook, myspace, or
yahoo!
