My self-summary
I'm persevering. I've been doing this online thing for almost a year now and I haven't struck gold yet but I'm persevering. I have read profile after profile of guys disgruntled with the online dating thing. Yeah, it hasn't worked yet but I'm remaining cautiously optimistic. Read on if you still have a bit of faith left too!
What I’m doing with my life
I am a middle school/high school math teacher at a charter school. So I spend a significant part of my life with young people and am passionate about my work. I love my job and am really good at it.

I have recently rekindled a love for hiking and have spent a considerable amount of time "bagging peaks" in the White Mountains. There are 48 mountains in the NH White Mountains that are 4000 ft tall or taller. My best friend and I have climbed 42 of the 48 so far. It is a goal to finish all 48. I am also planning on climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro this summer.
I’m really good at
listening, working with young people, organizing stuff, baking cookies, walking, making salads, being consistent, laying down at the beach while reading a book, sleeping, summit-ting mountains, grilling, sipping iced tea, making visuals, painting the interior of a house, cutting grass, over-thinking, being loyal,...
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: The Stand by Stephen King; The Dark Tower series by Stephen King; Hunger Games trilogy by Suzanne Collins; Games of Thrones series; For Whom the Bell Tolls by Ernest Hemingway; The Passage by Justin Cronin

Television: Arrested Development; United States of Tara; Dexter; Sons of Anarchy; Weeds; Modern Family; Sopranos; Breaking Bad; Walking Dead; Mad Men; The Wire; True Blood; How to Make it in America; Entourage

Music: right now I am bouncing between the following Pandora stations: Justin Timberlake, All of the Lights, Elderly Woman Behind the Counter, Madman Across the Water, Led Zeppelin, K'naan, Bob Marley, Rage Against the Machine, Radiohead and U2

Food: I don't discriminate except for mushrooms. Otherwise, I love food!!! I'm partial to a New York style everything bagel toasted with cream cheese and a great burger. Not usually at the same time but now I think about it...I wonder how a burger on an everything bagel with cream cheese would taste!
The six things I could never do without
1. Sleep
2. Unsweetened Iced Tea
3. Sunglasses
4. My Phone
5. Scarves and winter hats
6. Lots of Blanket Options

(I interpreted this as actual "things" I couldn't live without. There are a lot of people I couldn't live without too...just saying.)

On a typical Friday night I am
Tired from work, ready for a great meal and chilling with friends
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
my family and I have written our own silly family songs that we sing impulsively; these songs usually involve bawking like a chicken or other weird noises
