My self-summary Propose an edit
I am a warm, smart, and funny brown-eyed girl looking for the same
in a great guy (except for the eyes...they can be any color).
I'm the kind of girl that likes going to museums and hitting up
dive bars afterwards. Very few things shock me (except the
mundane--that shocks me often), and I am pretty willing to see
things from different perspectives (as long as a creative, if not
good, argument can be made). I really appreciate people with a
strong sense of self, an appreciation for the absurd, and a
perspective on life that encompasses these two qualities.
I'm a bit shy, but don't worry...by sheer necessity,I have adapted
and can make decent conversation relatively seamlessly (although I
keep getting better as you get to know me). There may be a few
awkward moments, but hey, we're meeting online and life in general
can be awkward.

I'm really good at Propose an edit
Making sense of things that make no sense to most people (if this
makes sense to you--we are a perfect match!)
Engaging in good conversation. Particularly, I am a fantastic
listener and ask amazing questions. But don't worry--I have no
background in therapy, nor do I have any desire of being your
therapist.
Being spontaneous. Caveat: I do not wish to endanger my life, so I
can be spontaneous...but only within certain parameters.
The first thing(s) people usually notice about me Propose an edit
my height--I'm short--not debilitatingly so, but short enough to be
in the category of "shorty"
charismatic--according to the experts, I may not be Dave Letterman,
however, I won't kill you with boredom.
my laugh. Apparently is it selective, genuine, and contagious.
Again, this is according to expert testimony. It is not
embarrassingly loud--but it is loud enough to make people around
want to join in on the fun.
full-figured...but in all the right places. yeah, baby
My favorite books, movies, music, and food Propose an edit
Books: A Clockwork Orange, Interpreter of Maladies, The Vagabond,
The Nancy Drew Mystery Stories, Othello, Nine Stories, anything by
Jose Saramago, Salman Rushdie, and Margaret Atwood, The
Fountainhead, Heloise and Abelard, poetry by Edna St. Vincent
Millay, Sound & The Fury (though I've read it three times and
still need sparknotes to help me out a bit)
Movies: Igby Goes Down, The Godfather, The Lord of the Rings, Pride
and Predjudice (A&E version lest I be considered a fool), The
Importance of Being Ernest, Pink Panther (The original--not the one
with Steve Martin), generally indie and arthouse. Def not
horror--too much of a scaredy cat for that.
Music: Radiohead, Etta James, New Order, Johnny Cash, Madredeus,
pre-American market Shakira. And, thanks to my mom, a deep fondness
for the oldies and motown.
Food: Indian (just came back from India and now this is all I
want!) and Italian
The six things I could never do without Propose an edit
life could not be truly complete without...dark roast coffee, port
wine, olive oil & garlic, incredible friends, quiet bars, and
being buried underneath blankets when it's cold.
I spend a lot of time thinking about Propose an edit
-am I ever going to really know how to work my camera
-what my room will look like once I get all the art up
-which country I am going to visit next

On a typical Friday night I am Propose an edit
What is typical, really? Is not our quest in life to be more than
just typical?
The most private thing I'm willing to admit here Propose an edit
I have a secret desire to dye my hair pink. I won't do it, but the
inclination runs strong.
