I am here, there, and everywhere.

My Self-Summary

I got a B.S. degree in biotechnology and am now living and working in Madison, doing genetic engineering. Not that my education and job sum up my life, but if I detailed it all here, what would we talk about at that obscure restaurant? (see below)

What I’m doing with my life

Grad school is definitely in the plan in the next few years, but right now I'm enjoying my job, my life, and exploring the possibilities.

I’m really good at

Finding obscure, out of the way restaurants with surprisingly good menus. I love trying new and exotic foods that don't seem fit for human consumption in the US but are considered delicacies in other countries. Sure, some of them taste horrible, but you wash them down with a good beer and move on to the next one.

The first things people usually notice about me

I have a unique and open sense of humor. Everyone always says I'm pretty easy going and laid back, which is true I like to go with the flow and see where it takes me. But you know, it's also true that not all who wander are lost.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books: Terry Goodkinds sword of truth series, anything by Jim Butcher and Michael A. Stachpole. Enders Game,The Giver, Name of the wind, and the Night Watch series.

Movies: Man on Fire, Transformers (1 didn't like 2 that much), Brick, Night Watch, Dark knight, new Star Trek, Serenity, unbreakable, Hook, The 5th element, Superbad, and many more.

Music: Panic at the Disco, Papercut Massacre, 30 secs to Mars, Johnny Cash, Linkin Park, All-American Rejects, Brand New, Bullet For My Valentine, Cute is What We Aim For, Escape the Fate, Flyleaf, Red, Korn, Motion City Soundtrack, My chemical Romance , Senses Fail, Taking Back Sunday, Theory of a Deadman, Hurt, and others I can't think of.

Food: I like lots of foods. Put it in front of me or around me and I will eat it. Not that I'm a pig, gorging myself on anything and everything, but I'm always willing to try new things (especially cookies, in all their glorious forms).

The six things I could never do without

Family, friends, books, stimulating conversation, not knowing what the weekend will bring and, um...clean underwear?

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Great ideas like new products, movies ideas, and ways to make the world a better place, and what I would do with gobs of money if I ever win the lottery. Don't we all think about this stuff?

On a typical Friday night I am

I prefer when I don't make plans for the evening, the evening makes plans for me. It's a lot more interesting that way. Some of my fondest memories come from the nights I can't remember ;)

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I have a talking alligator cookie jar, and he sure loves some taste cookies or that what he tells me.

You should message me if

you agree that the only thing better than experiencing a new adventure, is sharing it with someone else.
