I never really gave up on getting out of this two-star town.

I like to think I've lived an exciting first twenty years, which gives life hereafter a lot to live up to. Before college I worked as a firefighter in Singapore for two years; when that stint ended I gave some (serious) thought about running off to Dance school, amongst other things. In the end the lure of the all-American college experience was too much to resist, so here I am at Harvard, pretending really hard to be semi-decent at astrophysics.

1. Pretending to be good at things (see above).

2. Dancing when there are no witnesses around.

My height? They say Asians have smaller build and I think I'm short even for that.

Oh, I got braces last months, but usually people are polite enough to ignore them.

I don't have a specific preference for any genre of music, but as a dancer I like songs that compel me to move. These days I usually listen to random channels on Pandora and favorite anything that gets my attention in the middle of an all-night problem set. The last ten favorites:
