My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
"My final belief is that I believe in life."
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I like to think I've lived an exciting twenty and one years, which gives life hereafter a lot to match. Before college I worked as a firefighter in Singapore for two years; when that stint ended I gave some (serious) thought about running off to Dance school, but in the end the lure of the all-American college experience was too much to resist. So here I am, at Harvard, pretending hard to be semi-decent at astrophysics.

When I'm not thinking about runaway stars, I captain the Harvard CrossFit Team, dabble in a little bit of modern dance and musical theatre, dream of new cocktails, work on my Portuguese and Swedish - the list goes on I guess. And oh, just because I miss the adrenaline rush, I also volunteer as an EMT on campus.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
1. Pretending to be good at things (see above).

2. Dancing when there are no witnesses.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
The grin. Definitely the grin. I need to stop grinning so much, otherwise no one will ever take me seriously.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

The books I care enough about to lug all the way here from home:

1. The Great Gatsby
2. On the Road
3. Clockwork Orange
4. Lolita
5. Maurice
6. The Emperor's New Mind

Also, the only "for Dummies" book I've ever read was for Beekeeping.

Shows I watch online when I really ought to be studying:
1. Air Crash Investigations
2. Old MadTV skits
3. How (fill-in-the-blank)-is-made documentaries
4. Random episodes of (arbitrary singing contest)
5. Illegally uploaded episodes of Top Chef/Masterchef.

I don't have a specific preference for any genre of music, but as a dancer I like songs that compel me to move. These days I usually listen to random channels on Pandora and favorite anything that gets my attention in the middle of an all-night problem set. The last ten favorites:

1. A Lack of Color - Death Cab for Cutie
2. A Dustland Fairytale - The Killers
3. Brand New Colony - The Postal Service
4. Take on Me (extended version) - AHA
5. The A-team - Ed Sheeran
6. Love Theme from Romeo and Juliet - Nina Rota
7. Music is a Lovely Language - Beethoven's Wig
8. All You Need is Love - The Beatles
9. Run (live) - Snow Patrol
10. Chasing Cars (live) - Snow Patrol
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
I like to think I'm not THAT emotionally attached to any material possession.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
how things work, without resorting to Google. For example, I've been recently wondering about how toilets maintain a fixed water level. Hmmm.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
not pretending that I would find the love of my life in some dark, stuffy corner of a college dorm party.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I buy my shoes half size up, so I can slide into them instead of tying my laces every time. Yea, I'm that lazy.

(clearly I have deeper, darker secrets, but we'll get there.)

You like a good story over some bar grub. Doesn't even have to be a romantic setting. Friends are cool!
