I am compassionate, easygoing, and humorous.
My Self-Summary
I have a dry and spontaneous sense of humor that can strike at any
time. I love my kids, and enjoy spending time with them, so I am a
very involved father. I believe in people deciding what is right
for themselves, as long as it does not negatively affect someone
else. One thing I have come to learn is that a positive attitude
can go a long way - be it my own, the person I am with or the
people I am around. I like people who like to smile, and can be
attracted by a nice smile. Great appreciation for nature and the
outdoors. I love the beach and playing in the ocean, boogie
boarding, snorkeling, but have never learned to surf - it's getting
late, but it's still on my list. I enjoy working out, trying to
look my best, be healthy, fight father time, and allow myself to be
active with and for my kids, as well as to keep doing the other
things I enjoy. Other interests include the Boston Red Sox,
anything having to do with Marilyn Monroe, rock and roll music and
the usual guy stuff like things with engines and wheels. I really
love the Florida Keys and the laid back atmosphere there, as well
as the natural beauty and have spent a lot of time there. I try to
eat healthy, but also enjoy a cold beer or a glass (or two)of red
wine, especially Italian Reds. Love spicy food, seafood, steaks or
chicken on the grill. I can be a pretty goofy person, and have been
known to dance in public places like the grocery store, or scream
as if terrified on wimpy roller coasters, just for fun or to
entertain or embarrass my teenagers. I can control myself if
required however.
What I’m doing with my life
Trying to best raise my kids and see them through their teenage
years, now as a single parent. Being committed to staying fit. I
help with the fitness training and am an assistant coach for my
daughters competitive soccer team, and it has been a rewarding
experience, being able to spend this time with my daugter and her
teammates, and in some way feeling like I am helping other young
people. They are also a lot of fun to be around. Between work,
soccer, the gym, and spending time with my kids, I am pretty busy,
but I guess I'm looking to fill the rest of my time!
I’m really good at
Balancing work, responsibilities, kids, and play time. I think it's
important to make time for all of those things, even if some are
more fun that others.
The first things people usually notice about me
New people - not sure actually. The last/only comment I can recall
getting recently from someone I did not know was that I had nice
arms.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
When I have time to read lately, it's usually Men's Fitness or
Muscle and Fitness. The most recent books I've read are The DaVinci
Code, Where's Joe Merchant by Jimmy Buffet, Tribes, which is a
true, but sad account of a group of teens who are taggers
(graffiti)in Northen VA, Idiot - about the 2004 Red Sox, written by
Johnny Damon.
Movies - Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown, Something About Mary,
Shawshank Redemption, Gladiator, the latest Batman movie, Dances
With Wolves, Superbad, Rush Hour, and most movies with Cameron
Diaz.
Music- Rush, Van Halen, Led Zeppelin, Lenny Kravitz, Gwen Stefani,
Bob Marley, generally classic Rock, and reggae.
Food - Anything spicy. Seafood. Most kinds of beer, Chianti.
The six things I could never do without
My Kids
Sight (too see all the great things/places in this world)
Diet Soda
Optimism
Fitness
XM Radio
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How this world will be (mainly the environment)when my children or
future grand children grow up, if things do not change. How to keep
my kids on the right path. People that I have not seen or spoken
with in a very long time, how they are, and what they are up to
these days.
On a typical Friday night I am
From work to the gym usually, and then either doing things with my
kids, or socializing with friends. I guess I am looking to add to
that.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
Private? I don't know, but you can ask whatever you want, and I'll
probably answer.
You should message me if
You have a positive attitude, like to smile, you are fit, and if
you like to work at it, that's even better. If I sound like someone
you'd like to meet or get to know, and of course, if I message you!
If you are not opposed to actually meeting and getting to know each
other while doing something fun. Life is too short, and time taking
a chance was better spent than time thinking about it.
