I am a tomboy in disguise, excitable, and mostly harmless.
My Self-Summary
My name is Sophie, and I suppose I'm one of those people who's
incapable of whipping up a self-summary without feeling
narcissistic. If I weren't too proud to do so, I'd steal bits and
pieces off other people's profiles. D: I tend to be more genuine
during a spontaneous conversation than when I'm staring at a blank
page.
I live in Liège and am enjoying the perks of being a student;
living away from home, doing whatever I want with my time and doing
my laundry when I run out of shirts. I spend a lot of time with my
beloved laptop - mostly because all of my homework is either done
on Dreamweaver, Word, Illustrator or Photoshop. I love my studies.

What I’m doing with my life
I spent a year at the UCL (Université Catholique de Louvain)
studying Germanic languages (English and Dutch), but quickly
realised I'd never been so bored in my entire life, so I dropped
out. I'm currently studying Multimedia Writing in Liège, and having
a lot more fun. Ideally, I'd love to become an author... And I'm
working on it. We'll see if anything comes of it. (Probably
not.)
Since people have been asking: Multimedia Writing is a mix of web
design, programming, illustration, photography and actual writing.
Pretty much the full package needed to create a website.
I’m really good at
...learning. I learn very quickly, and I tend to be an information
sponge. I rarely forget things (unless they're important,
obviously) and it's coming in quite handy in school.
I've been told I'm pretty good at drawing, too, but I don't think
I've ever finished a single piece of art due to my incredible lack
of patience (edit: finished one! oh snap!). I also used to design
small graphics and websites, but now I have to design entire sites
as homework.
I read a lot, and quickly, and I've gotten a lot of compliments on
my writing. I like to roleplay (writing a story with another
person) and I'm very imaginative.
Most of the people I meet tell me I'm a good friend. I try to be a
good listener and offer advice, I'm honest and open-minded, and
(unlike most young'uns these days) not shallow at all. I also seem
to attract gay guys. XD
Waffles.

The first things people usually notice about me
I'm going to be painfully honest here: my weight. I'm heavier than
average, but not obese (I have -some- self control) and people tend
to use it against me. Once they get past that, though, they'll find
I'm pretty bubbly (when acceptable) and pleasantly disturbed. I can
of course be serious when need be. (:
I tend to be very comfortable with people I've just met, which
apparently is off-putting to some... XD And I abuse emoticons. I
like roughhousing too much for a girl, I've been told... though I
haven't broken any noses. Yet.
I live in a town with awesome waffles.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food
I guess being under thirty means your taste is a little eclectic,
because mine's all over the place.
I enjoy all sorts of music (aside from maybe country and rap), and
I'll listen to anything from alternative rock and pop to indie,
oldies, jazz and techno, even the odd chanson française and hip
hop. Some of my favourite artists and bands are
Radiohead,
Fiona Apple,
Muse,
Arctic Monkeys,
Kaiser Chiefs,
Mathieu
Chedid/
-M-,
Bloc Party,
Sufjan
Stevens,
Trentemoller,
Daft Punk,
The Walkmen,
Coldplay,
The Red Hot Chili
Peppers,
Emilie Simon,
Gnarls Barkley,
Jacques Brel,
Justice,
Queens of the
Stone Age,
The
Killers,
Jeff
Buckley,
The White Stripes, and
Queen.
I don't really watch movies all that much, I'm more into TV shows
at the moment, specifically hospital shows. ER and House, for
example, but I also like Heroes, Jericho, Nip/Tuck, and I used to
enjoy Los before it got all kinds of crazy. I recently saw the new
Star Trek movie and consequently bought the TOS DVD box. I've been
thoroughly enjoying watching Leonard Nimoy and William Shatner run
around impossibly badly made decors for the past week or so. It's
very hard not to chuckle at the bromance after hearing so much
about their supposed relationship.
As for
books, I'll
read anything. Seriously, anything. There's a special little altar
in my closet for
Donna Tartt, though. I'm currently
(re-)reading The Picture of Dorian Gray.
When it comes to food, I'm not too picky... I'll eat anything,
except maybe balut. I couldn't live without
pasta or
tea, though. Also, any
Asian food. *_______* AND
WAFFLES.

The six things I could never do without
In no specific order: my glasses (though I must admit I rarely wear
them), my very own student room, my laptop, a great set of friends,
music/art/photography, and sanity, though I'm well on my way to
losing it.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What the hell I'm going to do with myself after university.
How come my television works better after I punch it.
Waffles!

On a typical Friday night I am
Doing extremely boring things. I'm not a huge fan of clubbing and
drinking so much I black out, but I do like going out with friends
(even to bars, yesyes), terrorizing the internet on MSN or forums,
reading, drawing when I'm in the mood, and all this with music. I
recently discovered StumbleUpon and it's eating my time.
Most of my evenings in the past year have been spent in the living
room with my roommates, either watching movies or getting to know
each other. This usually involved a few cases of beer, but who's
counting, right?
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I occasionally read www.perezhilton.com. kill me nao
I'm actually relatively good at SingStar, but only when I'm mildly
pissed.
I'm synesthetic.
I LIVE IN A TOWN MADE OF WAFFLES.

You should message me if
If you find me interesting at all, or feel like talking to someone
new. I'm always glad to meet new friends, so don't hesitate.
(:
If you want to recommend music, books... Anything.
Feel free to use the IM feature, I'll notice that more easily than
the little envelope, I think. Edit: Never mind, it's bright pink
now! XD
MOTHERFUCKING WAFFLES.
