My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Beware: Under Construction or at least intense re-evaluation...

Okay, I never know what to write in these things and I'm not really big on writing about myself. I am a nice, intelligent guy looking for the same in a woman. I have a broad and dark sense of humor, because of which I love to laugh and make those around me laugh.

I am a good listener. I really like getting to know new people. One perfect night for me would be sitting in a pub and just talking with new people. Finding out what makes them think the way they do. I can be challenging and stubborn but I like to make people think and in my opinion that is a good goal.

I am creative, supportive, and non judgmental. I'm a real catch. And if you keep reading, I think you'll find out why.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Trying to make things better, one day at a time.

Things on the list all of which in progress:
Going back to school
Reading the classics
Writing that book that everyone wants to read
Getting into better shape
Getting more goals
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Cooking, writing, reading, laughing, comforting others, listening, looking at things from different perspectives, making dark situations light and taking light situations darkly.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm tall, nerdy, loud guy amongst my friends. I have a huge smile and tend to laugh a lot. I have a lot of bravado when I'm comfortable with a situation and like to keep people on edge. I will generally do and say anything for a joke.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Favorite TV: Nova, South Park, Good Eats, Dogs 101, Ugly Americans, anything documentary that isn't about WW2 or Aliens. Shows I catch on a regular basis: Daily Show, Colbert Report, Futurama, Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Archer, Arrested Development,

The Millennium Series, Lord of the Rings, Hemingway, Shakespeare, shameless nerdy books, and frankly too many to name. I've been trying to get through L'Morte D'Arthur, Canterbury Tales and War and Peace for a while now but they've fallen by the wayside in favor of more of the prior. On the excited to read list is Huckleberry Finn and more Hemingway. I just read Cutting for Stone and that was a wonderful and amazing read.

Movies: The Big Lebowski, Spy Game, Three Days of the Condor, The Croupier, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Austin Powers, Ghostbusters, Gremlins, Stripes, Roxanne, Dirty Harry, Evil Dead II, Young Frankenstein, Way of the Gun, Sideways

I listen to a wide range of music. Most of the time my radio is on NPR though. Other than that I like classic rock, classical and have gotten into jazz, and blues recently for a reason I can't quite put my finger on.

Food, are you kidding me? Its hard to find something I won't eat. Generally, if it doesn't move away too fast I will eat it. I have to say I'm partial to Tex-Mex but Shawarma (and yes I was on this train before the Avengers movie, not that it discouraged me from eating it!), curry and most things with cumin in them are amazing. Oh, and sushi is really, REALLY good. I really want to try Vietnamese food as I have heard wonderful things but have never had the fortune to try. But really, anything and everything goes. I can find something on any menu out there, and frankly, will usually try to recreate it at home afterward.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
The Betty (my dog)
A good set of Wustofs
Books
Beer, wine or Gin and Tonic
My leather coat
A nice pair of comfortable shoes
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Everything. When I find something I don't know about; I become a shameless Wikipedia hijacker.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Always in search of something to do!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Privacy? In an age of Facebook and gushing one's feelings in under 140 characters on twitter do we really need this box to admit something private?
