I am fun, dorky, and agog.
My Self-Summary
Dammit. I just wrote an entire profile thingy the other night and
now it's gone. Grrr. Well, the gist was...I like cheese, and people
who like cheese. And wine. And my little family (me, my daughter
and my grandson). I'm not really the sporty type but I like
walking...a lot. I love music and movies and books. Who doesn't
really? I guess what I'm trying to say is that they're really
important to me.
What I’m doing with my life
I am happy with my life at the moment. Everything is really good. I
love my job and my family and where I live. I have really great
friends and sometimes I even have time to hang out with them. I
work as a
graphic designer and the
arts have always been
important to me. I draw whenever I have the chance.
I’m really good at
Seeing both sides.
The first things people usually notice about me
My glasses...I guess. I know I'm not wearing them in my picture...I
wear contacts sometimes.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Just finished "The History of Love". I am supposed to be reading
"Divisidero" by Michael Ondaatje for my book club but I haven't
picked it up yet. Tried "DeNiro's Game" recently but found it trite
and a bit boring so I moved on. I really love fiction though. I
love to take whatever book I'm reading into the bath with me.
Sometimes with a glass of wine and sometimes even with a snack.
Music...wow, the list is very long. Rightnow, today....I've been
listening to Horse Feathers, Bon Iver, Chris Bathgate, Castenets,
Brian Borcherdt, Phospherescent, Beirut, Decemberists, Iron and
Wine, Panda Bear, Sun Kil Moon etc. I like livelier stuff too
though, like Ladytron, Blonde Redhead, Les Savvy Fav, Santogold and
The Knife. I even get nostalgic and head back to the 80s every now
and again...I can't help it. As for movies...I am a big Wes
Anderson fan. I like Roddy Doyle and actually quite a lot of
British cinema. Hmmm...this list would be far too long if I went
on. I love to be entertained basically. If I am provoked to think
or feel something I wasn't thinking or feeling before I saw the
film...then that's cool too.
The six things I could never do without
Good cheese. My family. Pencil & paper. Music. Internet. Text
messaging.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Lately, money, unfortunately. This won't last though. Minor
setback.
:)
On a typical Friday night I am
There is no such thing as a typical Friday night. I could be doing
anything. Last Friday I went to the opening at the VAG.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
Not much more than you've already read I'm afraid. :P
You should message me if
You love music...good music, not the kind you mostly hear on the
radio. I'm trying not to sound snobby here but the truth is, I kind
of am.
