I'm a simple guy, that loves good food, good wine, good books, good movies, and a nice walk in the woods.

I know I supposed to put more here, and get people interested in who I am... I'll get around to it at some point I suppose. So, sorry if this is lacking just yet.

I'm a physicist at SLAC, and I spend my time wrestling with computers to handle large amounts of science data. I was working with particle data, from SLAC, and in the past few years from CERN. But recently I'm working towards handling very large amount of astrophysics data.

Makes me sound like a geek, but really I'm not that bad...

I'm divorced, and have two kids, but only half the time. Half the time I'm completely free. It'd be good to meet new people, and see how that goes.

Trying to be good at my job, which is finding a way to handle very large amounts of astronomical data right now, and be a good father to two young kids.

Books, too many, Russell Banks, Peter Mayle, William Kennedy, John Irving, Michael Chabon are a few names I see, just glancing at the shelves. On another shelf I see Heinlein, Delany, Clarke, McCaffrey, Donaldson, so well it jumps around. Movies Ferris Bueller, Scott Pilgrim, Dr. Horrible, Almost Famous, from just glancing at that shelf, write for more ideas... Music, I've been listening to Glen Hansard lately, and going a little nuts for the new Amanda Palmer.

Either watching kids, or looking for something to do out of the house. Depends on the week.
