My self-summary
Disclaimer, I now have a beard, really need to add a photo. I like to think I am well rounded. Deep down I am a nerd who
plays sports. Mainly I am just looking for an intelligent, independent woman who is confident and speaks her mind; I find that attractive. I also find I am drawn to athletes as much for the personality as for the physical attributes it maintains. Oh and I am a non-smoker and smoking is a kind of a deal breaker with me for anything long term.

Ok, new pet peeve. Reading through this site I see all these people who say they care if someone who messages them knows the difference between they're, their, and there. I don't! Actually, I may care that, if asked to think about it, you are smart enough to come up with the right answer, but if thinking or typing fast or just carelessly you put down the wrong one, I will not judge you. I save my judgment for those bad at math.

I prefer to IM instead of messages if I am online.
What I’m doing with my life
I am finishing up my PhD in Economics. I love teaching at the college level and the more intelligent and inquisitive the students the better. I am also working as a health economics consultant.
I’m really good at
Math, teaching, being tall, avoiding sunburns, directions, talking through things and snoring.
The first things people usually notice about me
Toss up: my red hair and my height.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
House, Daily Show, Colbert, Mad Men, The Wire, Doctor Who (I prefer the newer doctors), Game of Thrones (both TV and books), PBS NewsHour

Don't know about favorite but "God Is Not Great" was a recent "listen" that definitely challenged me and made me think.

I end up getting handed a lot of books that popularize economic concepts and theory. I end up reading half, get bored and put them down but have enough of an idea to talk about it with the person who handed me the book. Which is why they handed it to me in the first place. Looking forward to expanding my reading list again after graduate school.
