Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I just moved to Boston to join a financial technology start-up. We
are looking to leverage digital currencies to transform the world
economy and I am excited to have the opportunity to take
Life summary in one long run-on sentence:
I grew up in Columbus Ohio, went to school in Colorado, studied
abroad in Japan, had an internship and engaged in some volunteer
work helping to provide an education to children in leprosy
colonies in India, worked for the U.S. Treasury Department in
Cleveland for three years then in DC for three years as a
management consultant focusing on consumer protection in the
financial services industry.
I have a fascination with the cutting edge, regardless of the field
and have a tendency to spend too much time reading about
developments in obscure sciences. TED conference videos are among
my favorite things on the internet.
I am an ENTP for those who care.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I work as the director of compliance and regulatory affairs for a
financial technology start-up. I have particular focus on consumer
protection and fairness in financial products.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Skiing, photography and picking up languages.
Oh, and using matrix-esque moves to avoid low hanging tree branches
when I am not paying attention. Seriously... people call me Neo.
(Note - the nickname has nothing to do with my tendency to wear
sunglasses and long black coats at night... seriously...)
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My height - Please stop asking tall people you randomly meet if
they play basketball. Not all tall people play basketball!

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1) Lots of blankets on a bed in a cold room
2) My Global chef's knives
3) My mountain bike
4) My skis
5) My camera
6) My suitcase
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Why so many people in Boston drive around at night with their
I am also generally interested to see how humanity is going to
change in the next century given the pace of technological and
societal change that I have witnessed in my brief life-span.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Hanging out with friends somewhere.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I was groped by a Japanese businessman in a subway in Osaka... I
feel some elaboration is necessary: He was drunk and the subway was
packed and he was apparently trying to figure out where my hip was.
I know this because he said "this guy is so tall his hip is the
same height as my chest" to the guy next to him.
My friends have not let me live the groping part down.
